I just get the job offer last Friday. Don''t know how they are going to take the pregnancy news and maternity leave, but hopefully they are nice about it.

I work in the public sector. The new position is with the same agency but different division, so I still qualify for maternity leave. My current job is a technician in the environmental monitoring lab, and we monitoring the discharge from sewage plants. The new job is an inspector; I will visit businesses to make sure that they are complying the federal, state and city regulations/ordinances with their waste discharge and implement their permits.

Wow, I didn't know you were pregnant! Guess I need to check that "preggo" thread more often. Congrats! And congrats on the new job, too. I might know some of the people you work for/with. Are you with one of the county agencies?
