I am leaning toward placement of a 1.5 carat sapphire in this Christopher Designs setting (see link below). Hopefully the link below will take you there. Are there any other similar settings I should consider.

I bought the stone from the Natural Sapphire Company - I can also have them set the stone in a similar setting. Does anyone have an opinion about their craftsmanship. They have been great to work with.

Is it a round stone? If so, Whiteflash has something similar as well as Ritani. There really are a lot of variations on the halo setting... in style and price and quality.

I don''t know anything about the craftsmanship of NSC, but I''m sure someone here does.

Are you going to post pics of your sapphire?

I don''t have a digital image to post; however, I will gladly post the finished product. Perhaps I can get NSC to send me the online image (they have removed it after my recent purchase).

What do you think about this mounting for sapphire. I can get NSC to create this Tiffany style. See link below.

Oh yeah! Gorgeous!
There were two other similar rings that two PSers got here... one was by Leon and I can''t remember who did the other one. I absolutely love the idea of that ring with a sapphire!

I did look at the whiteflash - looks very nice. I am starting to get exhausted with all the halo setting possibilities. As to Leon - I saw one of his halo settings in the halo thread on Pricescope - it was incredible, looked like stone was floating, held by only the four prongs. I will look to see if that is a standard setting he offers. Thanks for your help.

Another question - my fiances ring size is 3.5. Which halo setting would be better - micropave or pave. The sapphire is 7mm diameter. I don''t want to overwhelm her finger. Again, thanks.
