Want to know about the company before joining!!!

Hi all,
Does any one know any site from where I can get the information about the employer of a particular company? Where I can know about the working culture of a particular company? And what will be the future aspects? If you people know any site so, let me know. Any help from you people will be precious for me.

i doubt that there is a specific site that would have information like that on every company. Did you try just googling the company? my FI did that when he was considering a position at a company and he came across a forum that was just about dedicated to employees or ex employees of that particular company and found that most people hated it. i think that was sort of an extreme chance of luck, but hey, you never know!

I agree with Mimzy. I google everything. I also throughly review the company''s website, job board, and reputation if I can find any information regarding that matter. I also google the names of the management team. It''s amazing sometimes what one can discover with research.

Try www.jobster.com - there''s no guarantee that the company you''re looking for will be represented, but it is a site where people who work or have worked for a company can post information on what that company is like.

I just googled "company research" to be reminded of "Hoovers" as a source, which I used 7 years ago, among others.

For this sort of thing...I''d also make my way to a library with some folks with business acumen. Librarians are trained to help with this kind of stuff.
