Name is still a problem.. BF is leaning towards, Sancho or Moco (which means booger!). I'm stuck on cutesy like Mr. Peanut (that monocle) or Tater Bug. He won't be a little fluffy button forever.. they can get kind of sleek and elegant, these LH Chis. Something will stick, eventually.

some good suggestions for ideas- use hybrids of old family or middle names.
Name of your fave musician, such as BeeDee - Bob Dylan.
Name of a place thats special to you and your partner eg. Brooklyn.

or, you could use a spanish word as a nod to the breed - for example - "cachorro" means puppy (could shorten to "cacho") . And because of the heart on his back , "corazo" = heart. (could shorten to "Cora" or "Razo")..?

disclaimer : I have No experience with the Spanish language I have just looked these up online - pls don't crucify me if I got it really wrong!

Thank you so much, everyone. These names are all adorable and some had even crossed our minds before, but we''ve suddenly settled on "Chuy" (chewy), which is the nickname for Jesus (y''know... hey-zeus). We put an ID tag on his carry case today.

Meanwhile, I discovered today while giving Whoopsie a bath (the cat had the day off) that she''s in heat. She went in a couple of weeks ago to be spayed and her pre-op labs showed elevated liver enzymes, so they canceled the surgery. We took her to a specialist who said she probably has microvascular dysplasia and has to be on a protein-restricted diet. She''ll also need a liver biopsy (to confirm) when she does get spayed... after this cycle is over. She was a BIG hit with the boy dogs at the Chihuahua meet up today!

Max loves her so... keeps her as clean as he can.
