We found an apartment!!!!!

Hooray!!! It''s beautiful!! Remodeled about 2 years ago, current tenants are immaculate housekeepers, it''s in a beautiful old building with lots of character. Built-in bookcases separating the living from dining rooms, built-in linen closet and drawers outside the bathroom, 2.5 bedrooms (1 regular size br, 1 HUGE br separated into two pieces by French doors!!), 1 bath, a really big storage closet, dishwasher, gas range, back porch/fire escape, off-street parking, great location (2 blocks from my current place, close to campus for me, work for him) - it is GORGEOUS!!!!! I''m moving in June 1, he''s moving in after wedding. Watch this space for pictures in late May/early June!!

Here's a pic of the front of the building. Ours is the second floor on the right side, and you can kind of see how long the building is. The front window is our office (smaller bedroom). The pic looks dank and dreary only cause it's early spring in NE. Rainy and cloudy.

My FI wanted to be involved and I was all about it, until the boobleheads attacked. AHHH!!! THEY ARE HIDEOUS!!! I think there are about 15 of them...yep 15. Yao Ming, Jeff Bagwell, David Carr, Homer Simpson ( he hula dances too- as if he wasn''t bad enough before) hehehehehe.... I laughed when he brought them out!! I let him have the office to go crazy in- what ever he wanted. It worked out nicely- the rest of our house is a bobblehead free zone. LOL, you have to just smile though- they are so adorable with the things they love!!!

OK, I promised pictures, so here''s a couple. Mind the mess - we''re STILL unpacking!

This is our dining room (hallway to bathroom and bedroom, kitchen on left) seen from the living room. See the GORGEOUS built-in bookcases! There''s a ceiling fan in every room but the kitchen and the bathroom.

what a gorgeous apartment! All the wood is just fantastic! Our first apartment is going to be very standard. We want to live in a complex with a pool.. so we have to live with the "Standard all white walls, tan carpet.. no molding" type of place. I''m willing to make that scrifice for a pool though!
