So I finally found the perfect wedding band. It was difficult because I have a rather ornate setting:

http://www.jamesallen.com/products/item_294-2114_build.asp?module=setting

set with a 1.72ct F VS2 Asscher cut diamond, and I have stubby fingers so there isn''t a whole lot of real estate there!

I knew I wanted a diamond and sapphire band that wasn''t too matchy matchy, and tried on this baby this weekend:

http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=GRP00322&mcat=148204&cid=288152&search_params=s+5-p+19-c+288152-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+

It was perfect: the milligrained edge, the sapphires and the 2mm width.

I''m okay with buying the Tiffany if I can''t find an alternative, but has anyone seen someone similar (especially similar width) from other vendors? Signed Pieces has one that''s too wide, and I''m looking into Precision Set. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Hmm...some of these are similar, but may not be what you''re looking for.

Hi Milkshake!
Your Ering is gorgeous. Fun search! OK, so do you want platinum or wg? And you do want full eternity? what size ring? 2mm milgrained, got it. Just got my own band so am going through withdrawal not searching for diamond/sapph bands! A weird pursuit, but no one here will judge.

Platinum, half or full eternity. Anything around 2mm, rounds, baguettes, or asscher cuts, or any combinations thereof! Thanks for your help!

OK, so this is just under 2mm, but at $750 you could do two...or get some earrings? That site also has 2.6mm that is closer to Tiff''s price, but that might be too wide. I went in and saw these bands in NYC a few weeks ago and they were NICE! Not sure what my FI picked out for me, but everything in there looked awesome (and I had looked at Jared''s sapph/diamond bands and they were nice but not perfect.)

Overstock has a ton of Tacori sapphire platinum rings...all are around 3mm, but platinum and cheap (for the brand name) if you love the vintage look. this and the others on the side are a bit different, but just to get a feel for the price...some of these are not much cheaper than the Tiffany band if you want to be convinced that it is the perfect band for you.

Not sure how wide this is, but the princess cut might be nice with your ring... some other beauties on that site. Some in the same price point as Tiff...

some more and a list but perhaps not as nice as the earlier links, but here is a wide range of variations of your ring. Now I just hope these links are OK! [/i][/i][/i]

Gorgeous ring!

Fay Cullen has some interesting bands:
2.5mm
partial eternity, engraved
alternating shapes

I also saw a fair number of bands like the Tiffany one in various B&M jewelry stores as well (almost got one as my band, actually(, so it might be worth checking locally as well.

Don''t you just love the way Fay Cullen describes the rings? "lavish platinum with sumptuous details." I got sort of hungry reading.

Great suggestions I was actually going to post those too
