Hi PSers!

My very first post as a PSer was my ER post, and I asked what kind of band I should get. Many of you said I would probably have to go custom, given the deep curve in the shank of my ER.
So last week FI and I went down to Jeweler''s Row in Philadelphia. We must''ve visited 12 stores or so, trying on bands and getting price quotes for a custom platinum band. The quotes ranged greatly, from $900 to $2500, but *most* were in the 1200-1300 range.
Now, we''re getting kinda down to the wire - wedding''s in less than 3 months, and the budget is a huge concern of ours, as we are paying mostly ourselves (FMIL gave us 1K). Now, we could have put half on a credit card, but we are finally out of credit card debt, and it''s so nice to not have any extra bills, plus it helps us save for the wedding. So we were walking around, talking about which jeweler should do the work (we decided on a place called Harzin, the man there was SO nice, and he seemed very excited for the project. Plus, he was the only one who broke down the estimate... X weight in platinum, X ct diamonds, X for the mold, etc).
BUT THEN we walked into a store called Unclaimed Diamonds, and they had a band that came so close to the curve... I was sitting in there, heeing and hawing about what I should do. The band is WG, .25ctw diamonds. I guess the woman there thought I was heeing and hawing over the price, as she kept dropping it. And dropping it. LOL. When she said, "I can give you two for $425" I think I was sold.

I think it would be nice to have a custom band done in the future, maybe for an anniversary, but for now, these work out well.

Without further adieu...

ER without band: (apologies, some of these are fuzzy, some are kinda greenish looking from the green awning outside my window)
Shoot, need to resize

... sorry, looks like I need to resize all of them.

My fingers look so fat in this next one... I think they swelled from so much trying on and off. Plus, I have a ring guard on my ER, and I don''t think it fits well so high on my finger...

Messing around... Not sure if I like this look, it seems a bit much to me, but so fun!

And I love your ering setting - very cool!

Thanks, girls!!
About the setting... for the past year, I''ve been wearing it and have had NO knowlege about it this whole time. We bought it at a going out of business sale. The stone isn''t inscribed or anything, and the band only says "10% IRRAD PLAT" on the inside. Well, one of the jewelers we visited said something like "Wow... I haven''t seen a setting like this in at least 30 years. I''d guess it''s at least 35 years old". Another called it a "chevron design". Most agreed that it probably has a matching WB, but the two places they recommended (manufacturers), said that it was probably a lost cause to find the original match, custom was the best bet.

I actually like the one band over and one band under!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICE!

I love the uniqueness to your ERING... awesome. I two have the 3 band look... one on top and one on the bottom. I actually like my ring by itself sometimes, and is how I am wearing it today. You''re gonna have a lot of fun playing finger dress up! Very nice!

So do I. I don''t think it''s too much at all.

What a cool set! I love vertically-set baguettes.

Oh wow, they look like they were made for eachother! You have a gorgeous set...congratulations!

Thanks everyone!
I think the top/bottom WB is growing on me... at first I thought it took away from the daintiness of the ER, or maybe looked a little dated? I don''t know. Anyway, I know I said that was the last pic, but I couldn''t help myself!

Please excuse the PJ pants
