Wedding band shopping in NYC - recommendations?

Well, after a lot of back and forth on the the engagement ring (mainly on my part, it is true), we''ve decided to be wed with simple bands and let fate call us to our engagement ring, even if it is well after the honeymoon.

Which retailers or designers would you recommend in NYC for high quality, simple bands? For now....

Whoknows, do you have a budget? There are so many options in NYC to look at. Also, do you have any idea of style and metal preference?

If I were to wear only a wedding band, I''d love traditional yellow gold. BUT, I do want an engagement / love / gift ring from my beau. I lean towards an e- and wedding ring combintation in white gold or platinum. There are yellow gold with saphire or tourmaline center stones that are beautiful also. Otherwise, I don''t think I''d want milgrain or other embellishment on the band. I gave a thought to an eternity band or 3/4 stones around as a wedding band but don''t want it to clash with the engagement ring later.

For him, it would be something also simple. He works all day with his hands so we''re looking for something quite durable that would resist scratching or other damage. Platinun or tungsten?

I know you said you didn''t want coloured gold, but I thought I''d show you this one from Tiffany''s. It''s platinum and rose gold. (Also comes in yellow gold). They having a matching one for men. It retails for $500 each. I really like it but would probably wear it as a stand-alone ring.

This Tiffany platinum plain band is $475 (woman''s). I don''t know how thin you like the bands. This one is 1.7mm
