So I have a dilemma. We went to visit one of my favorite venues today for the reception and I was VERY disappointed. I still love the actual location, it''s beautiful. But this "amazing customer service" I kept hearing about just wasn''t there. I felt like they weren''t up front with me and at some points were even kind of rude.

So my plan to remedy this situation was to hire the wedding coordinator to keep the venue in check and just let them handle it. HOWEVER, I found out the wedding coordinator and venue manager are "friends." Should I be as concerned as I am about this? I feel like I can''t rely on the coordinator to be my advocate when they are so "buddy buddy" if that makes sense. I want them to like each other, but I want the coordinator''s first priority to be making me happy. Oh and by the way, it looks like the venue is NOT in my price range even though the coordinator told me it was. I''m checking on this one.

So let me get this straight. The cordanator told you that the venue was in your price range and it wasn''t. She also told you they had fabulous customer service and they don''t. And she is friends with the venue manager? I would say you are being messed with and I would be mad too. It sounds like your cordanator values her relationship with the venue far higher than with you. I would seriously consider another venue that isn''t so shady if I were you.

Shay-Dee!

Okay, glad it isn''t just me.

I would definitely look around for another venue! Something smells very fishy there.

When I read this, I didn''t take offense to the coordinator and the manager''s friendship. It was the lack of customer service that I had trouble with. Hopefully both women will act professionally regardless of their friendship. If you have issues with their customer service and you didn''t feel that you and your FI were treated with respect, I''d suggest looking elsewhere.

I''d look elsewhere as well. Actually, that makes the wedding co-ordinator sound shady as well because she didn''t act professionally either. What do you think about her?

Well, let''s see. I really liked the coordinator when we met with her. I felt like she was helpful, honest, and straight-forward. Now I think I might have misjudged her. I had actually canceled my appointment with the venue, but she encouraged me to reschedule and go. She said the person I was working with was "great." Yeah well, not so much. Every time we asked a question she didn''t feel like answering or possibly didn''t even know the answer to she "referred us to the website." For the high price this venue brings, she should know her stuff. She was also not listening and when we would ask a question she would just repeat what she said which didn''t answer our question. Does that make sense?
