wedding dress rental

Does anyone know if there are places where you can rent wedding gowns? If they exist, how do you find these places?

typically bridal shops that does wedding/bridal studio pictures have gown rentals.
they do hair and makeup as well.
i don''t know which state you are in, so i can''t really point you where to go.
there are a string of shops down here in s. ca on las tunas.

Thanks Lili! I''m in Ohio, but will be getting married in Pittsburgh, PA. Do you know what these shops are listed under in the yellow pages?

There was an article about renting gowns in the NYT this summer...here. If that link doesn't work, let me know. I was interested in that too but never looked it up.





ETA: I finally got my dress from Pearl's place. It came exaclty when they said it would, and it's perfect! Right size and color, all the accessories, etc.

they should be listed under photography or studio or bridal studio.
these bridal studios are more of an asian thing.
instead of the engagement pictures, they take these studio type wedding pictures.
since there is a big asian population here in ca, we have alot of those shops.
so i don''t know if there are any in PA.

I wish I could be of more help to you re: bride stuff, but since I am the Anti-Bride (see my post below about it) I haven''t done much research. However, I a couple of my good friends have recently gotten marries so I may be able to ask them some questions if you''d like?

We''re not sure where the wedding will be yet since we''re having a hard time finding places that fit into our budget. FI is from Bethel Park and I''m from Peters Twp.
