Wedding Dress Update

Hello ladies---

back in another thread i posted my dream dress collage (actually jcrow did because i''m not so savvy). I happened upon my vera wang lavender label tulle wonder on the blue fly website for 40% off and so i ordered it!

then about 3 days later i got a sad little message informing me that the dress was out of stock

feeling a little glum, i searched all over for that dress -- and finally found it in my size at bergdorff''s, but this time full price. grrrrr. but i thought that if i''m so drawn to it, i should just go for it. the dress is going to arrive this afternoon and i can''t wait to run home and try it on

i hope it looks as gorgeous on me as it does on that pretty model

BUT i have been taking recent steps to slim down so i can look stunning on my big day. cutting out whites (like potatoes, sugars, white breads) increasing veggies and running, running, running myself into shape. for some reason over the last two years i have developed a bit of a belly and it is NOT the cute kind --so it must go.

sorry to go off on a tanget -- but, this morning, i checked bluefly again and found my dress, in my size, for 40% off. so i ordered that one too -- my credit card is getting a work out, but if it all works out it will be quite a bargain.

keep your fingers crossed that the dress looks lovely and that bluefly actually delivers this time!!!!

it's like a sneak preview and the real thing will be half price. oh that would be soooo helpful on the wallet!!!! although it's not my wallet -- my mom was extremely cute because she sent me this letter/card saying that it would be an honor and the perfect present from a mother to a daughter to buy my wedding dress. brought some tears to my eyes -- so sweet. but i'd like to make it as affordable as possible.

if they back out on me again i'm going to have to demand that they send me some fancy designer handbag for FREE

thanks guys. no fedex delivery trucks have visited my home yet, but my man happens to be around today, so he can sign for the package. i told him that he may NOT peek. are any of you guys following that tradition??-- "the groom can''t see the bride until the actual wedding"

i also sent an email to bluefly''s customer service department asking if there is any way that they could confirm that there actual is a dress. still waiting for a personal response...

At first I wanted to keep my dress secret but then a few weeks ago I needed him to take photos of me in the dress so I could post them here and he refused--saying we had better keep it secret! Rascal!

well, i''m just going to have to rig up some timmer and figure out a place to stick my camera -- dresser perhaps. so be forewarned -- these pictures are probably going to be not so good.

okay ladies. i know that pictures are the best, but apparently my home computer isn''t working to upload those pics...i''ll try again after work.


BUT -- if i can hold you off a bit with words -- i love it! it''s really simple, but really beautiful. it definately is bridal enough because of all of those beautiful gathers. it''s an ivory color. not white. but i love it. i think that my search is over. how easy was that

my very first dress, without even trying it on. now i feel like i want to get married tomorrow

the only thing is that i HAVE TO STICK to my new improved exercise and diet routine because it''s not an a-line and if i want to dance the night away i''m going to need a little more room in the booty area...

also i have some modificaitons that i''m thinking about to make it even a little more bridal. i''ll explain more a little later. must go work...
