Anyone else thinking about wearing ''bridal'' flip-flops? Or seen any flip-flops that might work with a wedding dress? Freke?

(This is half for fun but half for serious because I am planning on having bridal flippy-floppies.

i''m wearing red shoes but may switch to these if my feet can take the heels no longer

I love these Giuseppe Zanotti flip flops...if I had gotten married in warmer weather I would have thought about one of his designs for wedding shoes.

Hehehe flippy-floppies!

I''m wearing these for my outdoor wedding - needed the wedge :)

I was dead-set on wearing my Manolos all night long, I forgot to account for blisters!

My sis had pearl white Havianas that saved my feet! You can find them anywhere that sells Haviana''s

What kind do you want?

ETA: and is there a budget involved?

I wore flip-flops for my whole wedding/reception and loved them!

I didn''t even think about my feet all day! I bought mine from Aldo...they were similar to these: Aldo SALEHA flip-flop

Here is a picture of DH going for the garter at our reception...I was worried that wearing flip-flops would look cheesy, but I think they looked ok in the end! It''s all about the comfort anyways!

These aren''t quite flip flops, but ... I am 90% sure I will be wearing these. They are really comfortable and I love the flowers! I just haven''t decided if I am going to use the champagne colored ones I have, or go for the pink! Good luck finding some you love!

These are what I wore for my entire wedding (ceremony and reception). not only is it about comfort, but I also needed flats because I'm a little taller than DH...and, even WITH my flats and his dress shoes, I looked taller than him because of my hairstyle!! LOL

PS They were SUPER comfy and actually looked REALLY, REALLY cute with the dress!! Because of the sparkle, they looked totally bridal..and, I can wear them again (cause they are just SO cute)!

I am...I actually made my own, and made all of the bridesmaids flip flops to match their dresses.

Mine cost about $5 to make and the bridesmaids were about $4....old navy flip flops in ivory and yellow(our wedding colors are a light yellow and an orangey/rose color). For mine I went to the fabric store and bought ivory lace trim with small pearls in the center for the sides, ivory pearls for the thong part and ivory flowers for the center of the thong. The bridesmaids were the same, orange satin ribbon for the sides, yellow pearls for the thong part and an orange and yellow flower for the center of the thong. I used a hot glue gun to put them all together.

I''m wearing them in the church and the reception. I''m also just under 5''9, I have all the height I need and I just want to be comfortable!

I''ll post pics tomorrow. For some reason, I can''t resize them right now.

Gewn I thinks its a great idea. I had a huge skirt so i got away with some white sneakers, but my feet were saved to change into my heels again after the reception.

These are the ones I bought on Zappos. I never thought about wearing anything else but flip flops with my dress!

I am undecided on this!!! I''m currently searching around for some low, comfortable heels (low = about 2.5 inches) with the intention of wearing them all day and night. I wear low heels to work every day and never have a comfort problem. But, I may bring some cute white flip flops in my reception bag, just in case!

Oooh, these are great!! Thank you, ladies!

Freke, am open to all sorts of styles but should probably stick with some that are more or less waterproof since I want to go bumper-boating in them, so leather probably isn't the best idea (although if leather ones are so so cute then I can always get super-cheap Old Navy type flip-flops for the boat-riding). Budget of probably $30, maybe £50 if they are totally amazing? Probably wouldn't spend any more than that. And no wedge needed--heels hurt my ankles and J isn't hugely taller than me anyway so flat is fine.

They are all super-cute, but I think the ones ficklefaye posted are my favourites so far. Don't need the little wedge, but the bling and dangly are so so cute!

Ohhh I love this thread!!! I need to find some flip flops for my wedding on the beach in Jamaica. I don''t want to get any too high being I have to walk through the sand but I want to have some height on them... thanks for all the ideas ladies!

I have a tea length dress, so I want any shoe I wear to look good and not super casual. For that reason, I won''t be wearing flip flops, but I will have some sort of ballet flats around in case of blisters. I don''t usually mind wearing heels all night at weddings, as long as I don''t get blisters ... those are the worst.

i bought a cute pair at target for 9 bucks - they are brown/gold with sequin trim. hmm... lets see if i can find a pic. i think this would look good with an ivory/gold dress.

hi gwen, these are similar to the ones i posted minus the wedge: http://shop.guess.com/ProductDetails.aspx?style=GWJASPER&category|3743=&image=GWJASPER-BLMTX

i still think the other ones are cuter though because they say G (for gwen) instead of guess, hehe
