I love the look of these dresses. Is this how it''s suppose to look or is it suppose to be worn straight down and then bustled up when you walk? I know the back bustles are to bustle up the train so you can walk But what if it''s in the front like this?

I think they''re called "pick-ups" and they are supposed to be like that at all times--both when the train is down and when the back is bustled. On my friend''s recent wedding dress, they were sewn in that way.

It''s a gorgeous look!!

Oooo, ya those are beautiful dresses! I especially like the first 3

I''m thinking that the bustle is just the design of the dress - it''s always going to look like that, can''t take it down. I don''t think it''s like a back bustle where you can let it go to make a longer train.

I see you have Jenny Lee gowns posted...#1 and #3. She's one of my absolute favorite designers, after Reem Acra.

I only really like the "pick-up" look when the pick-ups are random. The pick-ups in #4 are too uniform looking (for me). The first dress's pick-up effect is beautiful.

That''s my favorite style too.

I agree with ebree--better when they are random pick-ups than uniform.
