I want it for a) a disaster and b) vendor''s flaking or not showing up and c) something happening to our wedding pics, negatives, etc, after the wedding and d) if there is a death in the immediate family. I have provisions in all my major contracts about Acts fo God and deaths in the family (allowing for no loss of deposit and one year to re-book with the vendor), but I like the peace of mind of the insurance on top of it all.

That must be the lawyer in you. I hope all is well in your family, especially your mother.
I thought I saw a general "private event" insurance type as well. That might work for you Maisie.Date: 2/25/2008 1:38:55 PM

I think insurance is a great idea, unfortunately I can''t buy it for a renewal of vows. They don''t cover that here.
Do you know if I would be allowed to buy a policy from the US, seeing as my event would take place there?Date: 2/25/2008 1:42:34 PM
