Hi everyone! I just have to share some of my excitement! I am having a calligrapher handwrite my wedding invites so that I can get them engraved, and it looks like I''ll have my proofs this wednesday!! I am SO thrilled to see how the invitation and other pieces turn out! The calligrapher I am using is so incredibly talented, I am planning on posting my proof as soon as I see it! Just wanted to ask a question though, have any of you had your invitations hand calligraphed, or do you know anyone who has? I work at a stationery store, so I have been planning my invitations for quite some time now, and they are probably the one part of the wedding I am most looking forward to. I am using Crane paper stock, it''s a large thick ecru cotton card, typically used for letterpress, but I will be engraving the calligraphy on them in a metallic gold ink. I''ll also be having the envelopes calligraphed as well, probably in a classic black ink. Ok, enough stationery talk! I forget that not everyone is surrounded by it every day and it''s not all that interesting to most-- I just can hardly contain myself!!
