hi - anyone know if there are any websites online or even retailers that can do arabic scripting on invitations? in addition to the info on the invitation being in english i wanted to add a prayer from the Quran and wanted it to be in arabic.

thanks!!

Hiya,

Are you printing the invitations yourself (i.e., with a DIY kit like on invitesite)? If so, if you can find the prayer online, you can take a ''picture'' of it on your screen with ''preview'' or some similar program, then size it and add it in to the invitation template in MS word or whatnot. We did something similar and it turned out great.

thanks! ill look into invitesite for DIY invitations - i''ll run it by my gf and see what she thinks. i still would like to explore all options as ive seen these types of invitations before from other weddings i have been invited to in the past.

has anyone used the invitesite before? how much did it cost you per invitation?

hi..i am not sure if u r of arabic origin (or if ur GF is), but this is a website where you can type what you want in english, and it will automatically translate it for u and type it in arabic...

http://www.yamli.com/editor/

You would need to type the arabic words in ''english'' though, if that makes sense. so if you wanted to say hello, you would type ''marhaba'' and it would type it in arabic for you...hope this helps!!

there isnt much scripting involved of course here, but maybe u can give this as an ''image'' to a printer who would then print it for u on the invite??

If you really get stuck, my cousins are all Muslim and speak/read/write Arabic pretty well and I could have them write it out for you and mail it to you. Or if there is a local mosque someone there might be willing to do it as well.

this is really interesting.. it would be perfect if it was the other way around english -> arabic

i know for a fact that there are arabic wedding invitations that do have prayers on them from the Quran as my family has received them in the past.. ill just have to do some investigating..

hey,

there are a number of online vendors who can do this for you

i''ve heard good things about http://www.indianweddingcard.com/designercards/Cardcent.asp - you can see they have a Muslim wedding card section and are sending free samples for you to look at for a limited time.

another one to check out is www.weddingcardzone.com

if you decide to go with either - make sure to double and triple check their final samples for typos etc. the prices are great and the samples that i received were pretty amazing!

wow this is really great! they have a lot of invitation styles on that first site.. ill definately check them both out!

one thing that i wanted to clarify was that not only do i want the prayer in arabic but i also wanted something below it in english that shows the translation as my wife to be is italian..

from what i know - they are open to printing anything that you specially request. just email them to ask about how they would accomodate any specific wording you have.
