are you girls doing this? are you having them dance with their corresponding GM or with their significant others? what songs have you chosen?

we are not having our party join in with our dance so was thinking maybe a Wedding party dance would be a good segway from speciality dances (slow) to having everyone dance.

I think the fewer dances for people to watch, the better--it starts to get boring after awhile. But, I think it would be nice to start a dance with the wedding party and after 20 seconds or so, invite everyone to join, you still get the segway, but it goes a little quicker.

I''d take a quick poll with your BMs, too. For a couple of our pairings, it would have been really awkward for our friends, so we opted not to do the bridal party dance (but I would think for part of a song, anybody could handle it). While several of my friends have also voiced opposition on this one, I really like the "segue" dance where all the married couples are asked to go out on the floor and then the couple "who has been married less than one day" is asked to leave, then less than 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, etc, until the oldest married couple is left dancing. It''s up on the cheese factor I suppose, but I think it''s really sweet to celebrate long-lasting love on a wedding day.

Elmorton, that''s a really cute idea! I like that a lot.

I like the idea of a bridal party dance, but I would definitely have them dance with their own SOs, and I would invite everyone else pretty early in the song. If it''s a good size groups it can be a good transition, and it''s just kind of fun.

We did not do this. I guess I figured our wedding party would want to dance with their dates rather than who they were paired with down the aisle.

No, no bridal party dance. I hate dancing with anyone other than my significant other/or dad and I don''t know many people that do.... it''s just too awkward, especially if you don''t know the person very well.... if at all.

Luckily, the last 2 weddings I was in, they didn''t have it either
