I feel like I''ve made none! So I thought I would come here to make a list of what has gotten done so I don''t feel so useless about this wedding stuff.

The bridal party have all been asked and accepted. There is 1 best man, 2 groomsmen, 2 ushers, 1 maid of honor, 1 matron of honor who insists she''s just a bridesmaid

, and 2 bridesmaids.

We have the deposit down for the reception location and we know what we''re getting for food. We don''t however have all of this set in place yet.

We have the church booked but none of the details, most importantly what time it''s starting! Once we get the time set and find out about how long our ceremony will take we can get most of the reception things out of the way until we have the guest count.

For favors we''re going to be doing carmel apple jelly beans wrapped in cellophane with a wooden stick. I had really wanted carmel and candied apples for favors but the only good tasting, affordable ones that I''ve found are not available to be shipped until September 15th due to the temperature. I called to see if they could make an exception and even said I would pay extra for them to ship it on ice or whatever but they said no.

Centerpieces are going to be lanterns with candles in them, we have good looking fake fall leaves that will be scattered around them and then I''m hoping to get the little pumpkin gourds to place a few on each table as well. We have the leaves and the lanterns, the gourds I''ll have to wait till shortly before, and I''m hoping to find the size candle I''m looking for at a reasonable price.

I do have a dress picked out that looks wonderful on me and I love it but I''m not really sure it''s the one. We didn''t get to go looking at dresses too much before my shoulder surgery, and so I''m starting to look again starting tomorrow.

I''m going on a wedding shopping trip the whole day with my mom tomorrow (Friday). We''re going to try on lots of dresses and check out some of the restaurants around the wedding area for rehearsal dinner spots. I''m also hoping to be able to stop in some jewelery stores to try on some wedding bands. I have been looking online again recently at different rings and found some that I just love but are out of our budget at the moment

I particularly love the sapphire and ruby rings from here - http://www.newyorkestatejewelry.com/catalog.cfm?grouping_id=1&category_id=1 - and am sad that I can''t get one right now!

Drats, right now I''ve got to go but even though it''s not much I''ve got done, I still feel better seeing the few things I''ve done in writing :)

I also have ordered samples of some invitations.

I have the name of some cake makers as well as florists, all with great reviews and recommendations.

FI and I were talking about cakes and we figured out the kind of cake that would make him the happiest is a dirt cake :D This would work for me as well but the problem is finding someone to make it as we don''t want to have to worry about it. I''m not sure how likely we are to find a baker willing to make this, but you never know if you don''t ask! The other kind of cake I think my FI would love to have if possible as a wedding cake is some kind of molten cake, he loves those kinds. Otherwise I would really love a dark chocolate cake with some kind of orange flavored butter cream frosting between the layers and in between the cake and whatever frosting will go on the outside. YUM!

And i nearly forgot! The save the dates have already been sent out because I''m impatient :) I know it''s really early, but we have lots of relatives who live further away, and most still have kids in school. It''s right around the time school starts up again so I wanted them to know in advance. Even so I''m sure it''s way too early for me to have sent them, but I''m ok with that.

Oh my dear, your wedding is 2 weeks before mine and you''ve gotten heaps done. Compared to you, I have NOTHING! I think you''re making great progress!

thanks :) That puts my mind a little at ease!

Your wedding is a week after mine and you are ahead of me. I haven''t even picked a dress, centerpiece, cake, bm dress, ering, wring... well let''s face it. I haven''t done anything. I haven''t even completed my guest list. I just have a rough head count based on my last few family weddings. Also, reading all these post is beginning to stress me out. I think I might need to bury my head in the sand now

Ok after going dress shopping with my mom and grandma, I ended up only getting to try on the one dress I posted about before! But thats ok, I think I am going to just go with it. I do love it on me and it's such a gorgeous dress. It really is almost perfect for me. Really the only problem with it is the price, and the fact that it's strapless and I really would've preferred something that had straps. They can add straps if I decide I want them, but the dress looks gorgeous as is and I don't know that I'd want to mess with it. Before anyone asks, I have posted some pictures before but they were not so great as they came off my cell phone. I will post the newer better ones when I go on my laptop as the pictures are saved on there and I'm on FI's computer. The newer pictures look so much better than the old ones, it shows a little better just how beautiful this dress is.

So now that I'm 99.9% sure that I want this dress, we're looking more at the bridesmaid dresses now, I found some that would've been perfect from Ann Taylor, they were on sale so it was a great price, but they didn't have the colors I would've needed in the right sizes, so I'm back to looking.

I finally got my butt around to ordering a sample of an invite I love. I had several invitations that I had intended to order a sample of, but never got around to it. After Indy Gals post about her DIY invites (which I had seen before and just loved but didn't think I'd be able to do it) I went ahead and ordered a sample of the same as it looks like it'll match in with the colors we're using just beautifully. I think it helped that they send you a free sample, the other ones I never bothered to order cause I was too lazy to get up to retrieve my credit card out of my purse to complete the orders. hehe.

I located the correct address and phone number of a cake place we were recommended too, great tasting, lots of choices and great price, and plan to stop in and take a look either tomorrow or friday of this week.

FI finally called his friend who owns the DJ company we'll be using and he's sending over the contract.

Lets see what else... hmm.. I've been looking at wedding bands because this is something that I'm so unsure of as to what I want. I do want just a plain band definitely, but I can't decide if I want to get another sparkely band right away, or wait. If I do go the route of getting it right away, I don't know if I want to get a thicker plain band, or a thicker diamond band. I know that one of them needs to be thicker as I like that style of ring. I like the ring to have some weight too it you know? I was looking through Pearlmans rings and I really like the two that I'll attach pictures of, but without trying them on I don't know what I want! I also am not sure if I got the one thats just diamonds if I would want it with all white gold, or with the rose gold like the one I posted.

Theres probably more but I think I'll end this for now as It's already gotten so long!

So first heres the diamond band thats white and rose gold.

and heres the other one thats sapphires and diamonds

ETA: Sorry the pictures are soo huge!
