wedding rings!

gosh, it''s been slow around here lately, huh?

well, to try to liven things up (??) i''ll share our wedding bands. i''ve had mine since we got engaged; fi picked it out to go w/my engagement ring. i ordered his from etsy seller robandlean. it''s amboyna burl wood inlaid into a sterling silver ring. they work with all types of metal but i liked the warm coloring of the sterling w/this wood the best. just as a review for them; i really enjoyed working w/them. leighanne was wonderful back & forth in convos & always quick w/a response. the quality seems top notch. and this ring is just what we wanted! so, here''s pic:

My FI doesn't want one, period. Which I can't decide if it bothers me or not, but we'll be getting him something super duper simple. He is NOT a ring guy, I can't even picture it actually. Mine will match my ER band exactly, 2 mm shared prong eternity band.

my dad has never worn one. he has a plain yg band but claimed that it "hurt" to wear it & that he didn''t need to wear one b/c of work (idk that there''s any valid reason his job would have precluded him from wearing a ring but...) he''s now been retired for years & still doesn''t wear one. if it bothers my mom, she''s never said (she wears hers all the time) & they''ve been married for 37 years, so...

i can''t wait to see yours, though! love a thinner wedding band!

Mags, my DH doesn''t wear his ring and I don''t mind...in fact I am ringless myself about 90% of the time. It''s comfy! I did get him a 4 mm platinum band that he wears on occasion, so I''m glad he has one. In fact, his ring size is the same as my right hand, so I wear it myself occassionally.

His ring is cool! I had to check out their etsy shop. They do lots of neat stuff, huh? Might have to look into those as another one of FI''s "travel wedding bands."

yea, we didn''t want to choose anything too expensive for FI b/c he has a tendency to lose things & is really rough on things too. so, this way, he got one he likes but if something happens to it, it''s not a huge expenditure to replace. i can''t speak highly enough of the sellers, they were really lovely to work with!
