Hello, Ladies

I am curious if any of you ladies have purchased veils online. I am looking for a nice and inexpensive one. I don''t like the one that I have. I tried it on and it looks cheap

Thanks!

I purchased one on ebay and it turned out quite well. Especially for only $15! (It never got used as we took a break and decided to wait a bit)

Yes. I bought mine from Occansey Designs for about $50. I loved my veil, and it looked just like some of the veils I tried on in the bridal stores that cost hundreds of dollars. You should check it out: www.obridal.com

Found mine on eBay as well. It was about $20 and elbow length with pearls and Swavorski crystals.

I bought mine off ebay and it was exactly what I wanted - alecon lace, elbow length with pearls, think it cost only a shade over $30. Even with the international shipping costs (I''m in the UK), it was still considerably less than the GBP150-200 (i.e. more than $200) they retail for in the shops here. I''ve attached a pic for reference

I got mine online... I''m pretty sure it was from the veil shop. (It was about 3 years ago) I got a GREAT satin cord trimmed veil for about half of what it was in stores, plus a gorgeous faux pearl and real swarovski crystal hair comb for about $30...

I got mine from ebay as well, it was $14, plus free shipping, I figured if I don''t like it oh well..and its great! Chapel length very simple...I tried the same thing on at the bridal shop, it was $250.

I believe the ebay store is cutebrides....

I am looking on ebay too... i don''t want to wear one when we get married but i would love to have some photos with the veil blowing in the wind! Ebay Australia seems to have some great deals on veils... so much cheaper than buying from a bridal store!

trinity..i had a big sigh when i saw your veil.. so beautiful! and to think it cost so little, what a deal!

Thank you so much Ladies! I appreciate the helpful feedback! I will check it out! I will try to insert a pic of mine..

Btw, Trinity you look very beautiful! I love that pic!

I got mine at veilshop.com. I really liked it--the material was soft, not scratchy or hot like some I tried on at bridal stores.

I got mine from Bella Bridal Veils on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6156483

She''s super nice and very fast. I got a simple 22" ivory veil with a 1/4" satin ribbon trim for $30, including shipping.

I also bought mine on ebay. I had bought an expensive one at the bridal salon but then changed my mind about it but couldn''t stomach spending a lot more on another veil. Up close, I could tell the ebay one was cheaper, but once I was wearing it and in pictures, you really can''t tell a difference! So glad I didn''t splurge on another expensive veil.

I am in a similar situation. We purchased a 126" length two tiered veil, but once it arrived my mothe and I bot had doubts about the length...she didn''t want to ruin it on the day if she needed to press it etc. We decided to buy another one. Sadly, we bought from the bridal shop again so have spent over £200 on veils now.

I need to sell the original one so it is on ebay, but since it is brand new, with tag, never worn and long, I doubt people will want to pay the price I have listed it for. It''s still expensive, even with the reduction in price from the original price I paid for it.

I also bought mine on ebay from CuteBrides.

I actually bought two because I couldn''t make up my mind. I bought a cathedral length veil for just over $20 and a fingertip length veil for $12! Love them!

One of my friends got married this past summer and bought her veil at the store when she purchased her dress and it cost her $300 USD!!!!!!!!!!!

My b-pic photographer loved my cathedral length veil and offered to buy from me after the wedding for $50, so I will definitely get my money back!

I can tell you what not to do...don''t buy one from David''s Bridal! I made that mistake - got suckered in by the discount that you get from buying your dress and accessories together. I ended up paying about $125 for a 2-tiered short veil (either fingertip or elbow) with corded edging and a few Swarovski crystals, something I probably could have bought online for $30-50. Online is the way to go!

Trinity, you are so beautiful! That photo is so gorgeous!

Do you remember the ebay seller for your veil?

I love your cathedral length veil too! It is TDF! Did you get that from an internet seller too?

thank you housecat! the ebay seller is pamperedbride and the elbow length veil now retails at $39.99. I found them to be very good - speedy delivery and veil quality even better than it appeared in the seller''s photos. I did also buy my cathedral length veil on ebay but it came around in a funny way - I originally wanted 2 dresses (was going thro a bridezilla phase!) and found a lovely Pronovias one on ebay that came with matching veil. In the end, I didn''t like the dress, sold it for a pretty good profit and hung on to the veil, guess I was lucky!

Thank you also for your kind comments hawaiianorangetree and mtjoya, I certainly did feel beautiful in that veil!

Thank you so much Trinity. There''s nothing bridezilla about two dresses. People do that all of the time. Your dress was gorgeous though. I can see how you would want to stay in it all day!

I bought mine from Brenda''s Bridal Veils on Etsy. I have not seen it yet (custom) but I bugged her INCESSANTLY with questions and she was so nice and patient with me. Also, I feel like I got a good deal, bc similar veils in-store were much more and (at least from pics) not as pretty.

This is such a great thread.

I''m definitely getting my veil online now, and I probably wouldn''t have thought of doing so previously.

o''connesey did mine as well, and to thank them i''ve probably spelled it wrong. it was great & inexpensive! also, brendasbridalveils on etsy made me a facinator for a birdcage veil. i think i''m going to wear the facinator sans veil, but it is beautiful & so reasonable (my bridal boutique had similar items for $150-250; mine was $50 with shipping). she''s lovely to work with & can create something custom for you.

Betty, which fascinator of hers did you get? I am dying for mine to arrive!

originally, the ivory wild rose w/silver beaded metallic lace. then i ended up going w/gold accessories because gold went so well with my dress (which is oyster/champagne colored), so i''m waiting for my new one...which she labeled as DARK ivory w/gold metallic lace. i can''t wait to see it & i can''t wait for my fitting so i can see it with the dress. :-)

i liked the 1st one enough to get another, so i bet you''ll be happy! which did you get?

I got this one without the feathers and slightly smaller. I am so excited! I got it in the ivory/champagne, I hope it goes with my ivory dress!

You will have to post pics when yours arrives!

I''m sure it will look great. And it doesn''t have to be too matchy since it''s not going to be on the dress. I''ll definitely post some pics when it arrives!

I am currently checking some online on ebay. I am debating whether I should put the veil & the headband tiara or just leave the veil on. I will try to make time and fix myself up and take pics of both of them on.
