I know, I have plenty of time, but I came across these wedges on ebay tonight. I should preface by saying that I''m really not a fan of wedges, but I''ve heard they''re better for outdoors (and we''re having both an outdoor ceremony AND reception).

I like the beading, the pearls and the lace up ribbon of these, but the bottom is...hempy. Too casual? I''ve never been much of a shoe girl, so I fear my taste in shoes is awful. What do you think? Be honest! Nothing''s been purchased.

Thanks, ladies!

Perhaps these would be more appropriate? I like these too...for wedges.

p.s. I'm looking for shoes with a little detail since the only detail on my dress is on the sash.

I think #2 would work better for you, but I''m not really loving the actual detail design.

Thanks, Indie! I like #2 better for my wedding shoes too...and while the detailing is a bit weird, it might be more subtle on the actual shoe? Maybe not.

Has anyone seen any cute champagne colored wedges (or fat heels) out there in web-land?

I don't think the ribbon really looks like it fits with the rest of the shoe. The second one is better but I agree about the detailing. Here is a more plain but pretty champagne wedge I found

I like them both, but 1 is very casual. As far as #2, I think the little heel actually defeats the purpose of the wedge. It might still get stuck in the grass a bit.

I like number 2 much better. Can you remind us what your dress looks like? There''s something about the raffia that doesn''t strike me as working with silk/satin.

Maybe something like these?

You could probably also do a wider heal as long as it hasn''t just rained or isn''t on a beach. I have a pair like these that I wear outside all the time and don''t often sink in. I doubt those are fancy enough, but you get the idea. Good luck!

Have you seen these from Coloriffics?

Where on ebay did you find theses? I''ve been searching for shoes- without any luck!

I see th elogic for outside if you will be on grass, but do not love them...what about a shoe with a thicker heel which is in style instead?

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I definitely want a shoe I can wear again, and a thicker heel might be better, since I just haven't warmed up to wedges...but where do you find cute, thick-heeled shoes?

These Stuart Weitzmans are too cute: link
