Hi Girls,
So, BF and I have looked at a few stores for rings, and then this weekend we finally got a chance to go to Good Old Gold. It was such a great experience, we spent about 90 minutes there, trying on just about anything we wanted. The SA that helped us was great, no pressure, knowledgable with good suggestions. I found out they don't work on commission there which I think for the consumer is great. Only once did she ask if we wanted to order anything that day.
So, after looking at an oval stone again and comparing it to other shapes I'm still so in love with it. I think it's a bit different while still being classic.
I tried on a lot of settings also and kept coming back to the simple, clean lines of one very similar to this vachte x-prong. I think I'll pair it with an eternity wedding band, to add a bit more sparkle for when I wear them together.
At this point BF and I are done shopping together and the rest regarding proposal, plans, etc. are up to him. It was such a fun experience, I have a feeling by March-ish it will happen... hopefully I'm not too far off!
