Sometimes I wonder if people are passing judgement on us for being 'too young', most of my family (cousins, etc) have waited until into their 30's but then I remember that they were the ones making us uncomfortable at every family function for the past two years constantly asking us when the engagement/wedding would be
.
A LOT of the girls that I went to school with married, had kids or both very young. We'd always talked about waiting until we owned our own place, I was finished my round 2 of study and we had considerable savings before getting married. We'd just pulled together a deposit and were looking for our first home when the financial crisis hit the Australian mining industry and FH's working week was cut back and then as work continued to disappear he was retrenched. No bank will touch us to lend us money when 80% of our income is riding on 16 hours work a week and we have no certainty that the work will be there the following week. We kind of realized through all these unexpected changes that if we are planning on doing it in the future then we may as well do it now, who knows what life will throw at us next to push our plans further back. Not everything will always go to plan but at least we have each other .
Not engaged, but hopefully close. C stayed he wants me to move in by the end of the year, and he knows i wont move in until we are at least engaged. Im 22, and he is 45.....this will be my first and his 3rd.
I am exactly the same, we got engaged when I was 26 and he was 25, and we got married when I was 27 and he was 26. However, we were dating for about 16 months before getting engaged. We got married about 8 months later
We're not engaged yet, but (FF says) plan to be soon. I am 30 and FF will be 33. Hopefully married when I'm 31 and him 34.
My first engagement I was 22 and XF was 24. We were supposed to be married at - me: 24 and him: 26. We were too young and growing in two different directions.
we''re not engaged yet, but i suspect we''ll be engaged when i''m 26 and he''ll still be 27 (hopefully first half of next year). i think we''ll be married when i''m 26 and he''ll be 28 (the second half of next year.) hehe.
the age range among my married friends range a lot. the youngest friend i have that got married was 22 and her now DH was 28. then there are our more "mature" friends, who decide to tie the knot in the mid 30s-40. a lot of my friends are getting engaged now at around 25-26ish.
