I suspect the camera might've helped it a tiny bit. And it doesn't like being inside. I still love it, though. 8)

Thank you! :oops: It doesn't have a dedicated thread in the way other rings do, just one (old one) where I asked a bunch of questions since this was my first more significant purchase of a CS and I had doubts about maybe having messed it up. Let's say there were some issues with setting the stone. But I'm all past that now. It's an everyday piece and I've decided to just enjoy it for what it is, being on the less expensive side.

As for details, uuh... sapphire, presumably heated, a little over 2ct, 14k white gold about sums it up, I think.

I have learned that most sapphires don’t like being inside, even the super expensive ‘perfect’ ones. The lighter cornflower blues do better but even then, many of them turn a bit more denim blue, less vibrant.
 
It now has a friend. Putting up the second one for sale but if it doesn't sell very quickly, I may end up keeping it as it's a nice contrast to the other one.

Paraiba have a different kind of magic to them. I’m sure you will love them if you see good ones. They glow. The good ones are totally fabulous

I’m quite a sucker for any stone that color tbh. Peruvian blue opal, paraiba and gem silica.

I would love to see a really nice paraiba in person. I've seen one video that reminded me of gazing into a swimming pool on a sunny day. You're so lucky to have such a fab collection!

Thanks. I requested the mods to delete it as I may sell it (undecided pending on arrival of another spinel ring - bought too much lately :D), if so posting it here might be against the rules.

I think spinels are like this no? I have a Tanzanian spinel ring (the one in my avatar) and it'svery similar in hue and tone, and it too goes orangey to pinky to also quite red. This one I'd say is more orangish pink in most of the time, and looks pretty orangey under certain artificial lights. Not so hot pink as the picture shows, though it's definitely neon.
