That is such a beautiful zircon ring Acinom! I love the color! I also think your tourmaline a few posts above is so cool!
Your nail polish complements your lovely moonstones and Star sapphire perfectly.Happy Sunday everyone! Following on Acinom's praise of the thread, i want to express why I love this thread. For me, in addition to providing a means for people to show jewelry which they don't want to start a separate thread about, this thread has always been about the practice of actively loving and wearing your collection! We have so many wonderfully informative threads about the acquiring of new, quality jewelry and the gems as the specific focus, but this is one of the few community threads which is about the wearing, combining, the living love of what we have. There is so much fun and beauty in that, aside from the actual pieces. It's about what it means in your life, and how it adds beauty, and inspiring each other. Jewelry wearing is among other things, also an inherently a social interaction. I love seeing how you all create jewelry moods with all the pieces, Wether that's with the same piece(s), or with a vast collection. Keep it coming ladies!
Today it's the moonstones for me. I always wanted a moonstone ring to go with my bracelet, but the cabochon of this star sapphire ring works for now. I'm starting to have doubts that I'll find a moonstone ring with the right stone and the right size at the right price, unless it's in my jewelry karma. There's an artists market going on today. I'm heading down there this afternoon just to walk around and be out and about.
You are right, 'nourishing to the spirit ' is a great way to describe these related colors. Your tanzanite has that beautiful mix of violet blue, it's like a gentle daydream. Such beautiful pictures...Thank you, Bluegemz. This color is nourishing to the spirit, like your moonstones and star sapphire!
Oops, sorry, I meant to say sapphire not tanzanite! You are right, 'nourishing to the spirit ' is a great way to describe these related colors. Your tanzanite has that beautiful mix of violet blue, it's like a gentle daydream. Such beautiful pictures...
With the moonstones, more than any gem, I feel that they capture sky, air and horizon. Maybe it's because of the domed cuts, how they bend light through the crystal and then the blue sheen. There seems a vastness within a small space, as if they are microcosms of the sky.

Bluegemz, that moonstone bracelet is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. I love the serene feeling of moonstone and the goldwork is beautiful. Could you tell us more about the bracelet?
She then offered me to borrow the bracelet, wear it around for a week or two. This is a highly effective sales tactic, since I was clearly bonded with the piece after a day of wearing it. After seeing me wear it, my husband decided that he wanted to buy it, and so that's how I acquired it.
Thanks Tourmaline! She is awesome that way! She'd let me borrow anything I wanted after we built a relationship. Once I went to a wedding. I needed a blue bracelet, so she styled me with jewelry. I took a thick sapphire bracelet and some amazing earrings, with another pair for the brunch the next day. She knew these were completely out of my price range, but did it just for fun. Really appreciated that spirit in her. She told me that by wearing the pieces, it was free advertising for her, so in her mind it was a win too. This is awesome! And it's a lovely bracelet!
So gorgeous ilovegemstones! I love love the color of your star. It's such a plump drop of beauty! I also love your other sapphire ring. Gosh, you have a great collection of sapphire rings! Your collection makes me realize that sapphires are never redundant. Each one really is so unique. I love how you wear them together, showing the different shades of blue. ( if and only if you feel like it, I'd love to see your star on the 'show your star sapphires and rubies' thread as well! It's really beautiful. )
Love, love, love this color sapphire. Your ring is so feminine!Oh my goodness! There are so many beautiful things here! I love seeing everyone's individual style. Thanks for sharing the stories of the connections your jewelry has to people and places you love.
I'm wearing my JuliaB purple sapphire tulip design. I love how well the rose gold milgrain goes with the diamonds for a delicate vintage look. It's perfect with the blooming water hyacinth that my friend gave me for the frog & lotus pond. I think this ring has the perfect fairy princess spirit!
