What are you wearing today?! Show me your CS!

Thank you Suzanne! I’ll post some additional pictures. Various lights to show different color ranges it has, although it rarely looks quite as pink as the middle picture. I was attracted to it because of how skinny it is! It reminds me of a shard of glass. The setting was completely hand built for the stone in Brazil.

I really like this ring. I love the stone and the combination with the superb setting is glorious. Wow.

Bright blues today. Kyanite and Burmese sapphire rings.

I feel like an idiot here, but which ring is the which is the sapphire? They are both beautiful.

Not a colour I wear much of, but I rediscovered a green weekend top in the other cupboard and decided to complement with greens :)20171008_213745.jpg 20171008_213736.jpg

Love pink topazes! And the setting, too.

No worries. This particular kyanite really looks like a sapphire and was sold to me as such. But inclusions and testing determines it as kyanite. The cushion is the kyanite and the oval is the sapphire. :)

I went to a studio tour yesterday. Bought some ceramic vases and this little beaded bracelet with tiny freshwater pearls. Thought it would go nicely with my turquoise and gold bangle.

I love the super blue kyanites. I’ll bet you enjoy wearing it.

Though yellow and orange is NOT the best on me, I love these colors. So I’m wearong these spessartite garnet beads with 18k gold, and the yellow and white jadeite bangle today. Again, I desperately NEED a Spess ring so I’m working on putting one together for outfits like this. The spess beads were made for my golden filigree flower pendant, but I wanted to keep it more modest today. Also wearing gold and yellow /champagne diamond earrings. Picture is a tad washed out.

I asked her to bring back a few gemstones, of course! Anyway, she picked these Ayurvedic gemstones for little earrings for my littlest girl. Anyway, I just had them set in gold and will gift these to her maybe in a month or two. There were too many gems to all fit around the center stone, a tiny cats eye crysoberyl. So, we attached the last 2 stones on removable dangles. Seller’s pics. Not wearing but thinking about these today lol!

Lovely navaratna earrings, Bluegemz:clap:. May all the 9 planets protect your girl from evils.

My dad had a 9-stone ring made in Ceylon years ago too :)
Similar spelling, called the Nawarat koe par in Burmese.

Thank you Mukti and Burmesedaze! I think there is a slightly different order that the gems should be in, but the jeweler felt that they would look best in this order, so I let him chose. I hope it doesn’t affect the energy of the stones. Reading about it makes me want to consult an Ayervedic astrologer! I’d love to find out which particular stones would be most beneficial etc.

Actually, reading about the symbolism associated with the gems is inspiring! Now I feel I really should add getting a natural yellow sapphire, a red coral, a hessonite, and a cats eye crysoberyl to my list of gemstone rings to eventually buy. I’ve always wanted a nice coral and yellow sapphire, but especially a cats eye crysoberyl!! This passion for gem jewelry never ends .

Lol and PS is SUCH a great enabler.

Jyotish gemstones must be untreated and have a high degree of clarity to deliver results - that's what I read. I'd go broke if I bought all 9 jyotish gemstones immediately :(2 It's a big no for me :naughty: sigh....

Interesting that the ‘diamond’ in the little stones Is actually a clear sapphire. :| You are right about the need to be untreated for effective power. I certainly agree with that, but it definitely slows down the rate of acquisition lol!

Clear sapphire is the second choice in Jyotish, clear unheated natural zircon being the third choice, they replace diamond which can cost an arm an a leg in bigger ctw and great clarity :wink2:

Wow, ok that makes sense! Thanks for letting me know! I thought they used clear sapphire maybe because that is what is easiest to use in Sri Lanka.
