bsomlo, the rope is 96" fw oval circled pearls. They have clean surfaces and good luster. It was a gift from my mom and she purchased it in a retail store. She likes pearls but never bought any that cost more than $100 . I still like them, she definitely picked thru the inventory to get the best looking ones .

I LOVE this thread It is so much fun checking each day to see the wonderful pearls and how everyone is styling them. I have just been stuck in a rut wearing my white metallic drops. I know tough rut to be stuck in.

Nothing - we've all been terribly sick with colds so we have barely left the house, let alone thought about accessorizing. And I still have two photoshoots to do - one with my Catherine Cardellini baroques (a January purchase) and the other with my new Tahitians!

mrs.taylor, I love stretch bracelets, don't have to struggle with a clasp. Lots of vendors sell stretch bracelets, including PP.

I love stretch bracelets as well. My wrists are kind of small and most bracelets just hang loosely and annoy me. So I've asked vendors to restring onto that stretchy material and it's perfect. I'm guessing they have to be restrung more often than regular bracelets but it's worth it for me .

Okay, I'm fiddling around with how to triple this devil without a nice clasp to keep the strands put so they don't get "chokey" (discussed in GemFever's Tahitian thread). I put the necklace around my throat with the largest pearls centered in front. Then I wove each end through various strands randomly and clasped them in back. I'm hoping the weaving will keep the heaviest strand from pulling down. Plus, I like the look!

Oh, I don't think it shows in the picture, but this fickle moody devil is showing pinks at this hour!

Glad you're sharing these tips because I have a rope of my own on the way! My husband assures me that I won't see it until Christmas but hopefully I'll be able to get a few pictures in!
