What are you wearing today?!

Today, PP white metallic/citrine necklace with PP white drop/citrine dangles. I like that these pieces go together, but aren't an exact match and weren't sold together. I think of them as complimentary, rather than matchy-matchy:

My multicolour metallic strand from POJ. It's one of my favorites.
:)

And I'm working on a matching bracelet.

bsomlo That is one perfectly unmatched set! Those earrings are just amazing

periwinklegirl Lovely!

I am wearing a new black leather Story bracelet with a PP souffle charm. I purchased the small souffle from Pearl Paradise, and had it set by local Minneapolis designer T Lee. I picked up the charm yesterday from T Lee and I love looking at it on my wrist today.

So, I decided to give my matching souffle pendant from PP an outing as well. I added it to my white ripples from Pearls of Joy that I strung up myself last summer (I added some white keshi to the strand). The souffle is pinker than the white ripples, but it isn't bad. I need to get back to stringing up some of my lavender pearls to make a better matching strand for the souffle pendant. The camera doesn't pick up pearl colors well against my black sweater, so I held up a sheet of white paper to give you a better look at the pearl overtones.

Flygirl, those are lovely! Love the soufflé pendant!

Here are my goldens. And yet another of my attempts to wear a scarf and pearls together.

bsomlo, you don't like longer ones, I love them; You can always send it to me. Here it won't be lonely, ever :) . Your T's are gorgeous. And Your citrine pearls are so feminine and lacey like. I would like to see them in sun shine :wavey:

Periwinklegirl, I like Your multicolour pearls very much. There is all beautiful colours so nicely side by side. I love my pearls with opals, but I dont have anything to layer with it. Maybe I must fix that situation too. Your goldens are fabulous. With or without scarf :wavey:

Fly Girl, Your bracelet has so nice casual look. Modern and simple. And Your ripples! They have lovely wild shapes

Fly girl- nice souffle. And the ripple-keshi combo looks great!

Wearing poj metallic drop fwp. Strung myself. It took me a lot of planning to get it right cos it is my first time doing a multi strand. The luster is fantastic.

YC, absolutely beautiful double necklace  . You have catched well the lustre on Your photos. What kind of clasp You attached?

Today Tahitians

Hi confection 10, I used a tube clasp. But I am regretting using gold filled one cos after several wears, it has begun to tarnish. I can't imagine redoing the whole thing in the near future. I just just wear this for as long as I can. Console myself that no one will see the clasp anyway.
I like your Tahitians. You strung this yourself? Are those gold beads between the pearls?

Confection10 -- I do love the Tahitians on you, too!

Wow! Big, bold and beautiful pearls everywhere tonight!
Lovely stringing ladies!

YC, gorgeous big drops.
Confection, I love the matching Tahitian bracelet.

Here's my more modest offering. I started these quite a while ago. I knotted the first strand, then needed more pearls to make a second. These pale lavender ovals came from Pattye! (Thanks Pattye, they're lovely).

The rounds in between are lavender gold, but the colour difference doesn't show as well in indoor light. I'll try to get a daylight shot soon.

I made them as two separate strands to have more flexibility in wearing them - and together with the bracelet, they make a decent length of rope!

Fly girl I love your new storybook bracelet with the souffle charm    Your enhancer turned out gorgeous too!

periwinklegirl Your goldens and lavenders are both lovely!

YC Beautiful double strand and great job stringing it!

Confection Your Tahitians are SO pretty :twirl:

YC, shame that clasp tarnish. But like You said, it won't show easily. Maybe sterling silver might work better; at least You can polish it. Yes, I knotted T's myself. My first attempt was beaders secret, but it stretced after couple of day. I changed it to Power Pro, which seem to work better with heavy pearls. There is tiny, 3mm, gold filled rondelle bead between every pearl. It's so relaxing to knot and results are so beautiful :wavey:

bsomlo, thanks!

periwinklegirl, they look amazing. It's nice to see how they look in daylight. I made bracelet yesterday and I think it's so cool :D

LitGeek, thanks :wavey:

Here is my temporary longer necklace, I knotted yesterday. There is greenish, blueish and greyish 6mm FW pearls between T's. I'm not satisfied to color of tiny pearls, but until I find right ones, it stays like it is. Like I said, knotting is so relaxing that it won't be issue to remake it :)

I wished you lived next door. I'd pay you in wine and cheese and you could re-string my pearls.

I just love seeing your posts!

Oh, me too!

How fun that would be! Wine and pearls and PS pearl friends!

Thanks for all the posts. :)

Confection, love the new strand! Great colour combination and I like the vintage rope style!
Your stringing has really taken off!
Can you take a close up? Maybe on a white background? I'd love to see the detail.
Are the new Tahitians from Pearlescence too? And the freshwaters?

Bsomlo and periwinklegirl, I really miss someone who will admire pearls as much as me. And after some glasses of wine, it would be fun when we crawling under the table pick up all fallen pearls

Here is some closer shots. There yoy'll see why I'm not satisfied to tiny pearls colour. In photos difference is more obvious than IRL.

Confection I think your mixed T rope looks lovely! Especially layered with your T strand!!!

Why are you not satisfied with the color of the tiny pearl? I like them, but I am not sure what look you are going for.

LitGeek, thanks :wavey:

Blueish are too bright to match well more earthy tone greens and greys.

Confection,
Wow, those Tahitians are incredible close up! The detail on those pearls! I would just be staring at them all day long!

I am having so much fun catching up on everyone's pearls!

bsomlo - I love the combination of pearls & gems that PP is designing recently and your necklace and earrings are just beautiful! I bet the citrines sparkle like crazy IRL!

periwinklegirl - Thanks for posting some of your treasures! The strands you designed with different shape and size pearls is so creative!

Fly Girl - Leather & pearls - now that's a sexy power statement! Love it! And your ripples with the souffle look so dynamic! Great choices!

YC - You look so great in your metallic multi-strand!

Confection10 - I never get tired of seeing your gorgeous Tahitians! And the new long strand you've designed is pretty great too! I want to attend any wine drinking, pearl sharing and restringing party anyone comes up with! Or maybe that's the reason for the PP Ruckus???

I knew it was just a matter of time before you would be layering your Tahitians! :naughty:

Using those smaller pearls in a Tahitian rope is an excellent idea. They look great and save weight. I think the smaller pearls look just fine in your photos. Enjoy, and thanks for the photos!! :appl:

Here are a few shots of what I'm wearing plus a picture of pearl bracelets.

First - Three of my bracelets - fw cranberry, fw lavender and fw multi-color.

Second & third - Two shots of my white SS baroque and keishi strand

Today dark T's and white misshapen Edisons together. The longer necklace is on pieces. Those bright blue tiny pearls disturbed me too much...
