Hi guys,

-What do you think of these shoes to go with my dress? (melpla, I borrowed your picture, I hope you don''t mind!)
-Do you think white would look OK with ivory or should I dye them?
-Have any of you ever purchased from this company, and are they good to deal with?
-Has anybody seen or tried these shoes on, are they nice, and more important, are they comfortable?

Thanks!

Option 2

(they are not in any order as far as my preference)

I vote #1!!

I like #1. I would not worry about a slight color difference. No one will see them anyways

#1 here too.

I like #1 as well. I love that style, but cannot keep them from slipping off my heel. I think they make things you can stick in the heel to keep them on though, but I haven''t tried those. It may be that I have a narrower heel than most.

PS--I don''t mind you using my photo!

Satin covered shoes are generally, and as a rule, uncomfortable. Seriously. I''ve got to say it on here one time, and it looks like this is the time. I would not buy dyeables or satin shoes online unless I had first tried them on in the store or I got them from Zappos or someplace with free shipping both ways and easy returns. I''ve bought several pairs of satin shoes, high end, low end... not ULTRA high end (nothing over 300 bucks) but you get the point. Comfortable ones are SO few and far between I don''t take risks with them. And you can''t as a rule tell by looking at them in a pic if they are going to be comfortable. To me, they both look uncomfortable.

I like the look of 1 better and there is less rhinestone which might catch the hem of your dress.
I have owned 2 pairs of satin shoes that were very comfortable and both were nina shoes. I know they do dyables and because of what gypsy said, you may want to consider that.

I like #1 better, but I agree with Gypsy, they look uncomfortable. If you buy them make sure you could last in them all day.

Thank you so much for all your opinions, and Melpla for being OK with me using your photo.

I would definitely rather see the shoes in person before buying them...trouble is, I''ve been hitting all the department stores around here (Macy''s, Nordstrom, Bloomie''s, etc.) and I have yet to see a pair of shoes in ivory/white, or any shoe I would like, for that matter. That''s why I turned to the Internet.

Comfort is definitely a factor, and unless I run out of options, I will definitely keep looking. I just have to have something for when I do the fitting sometime in March/April.

I don''t know about you, but one of the bridal salons I went to actually caried dyable shoes from various brands. Could you call the local bridal places and ask if they have dyables and if you can try them on?

karasue91 - thank you thank you thank you! I just ordered the first pair, I really have nothing to lose.
The second pair, I love, but they''re too high. Man, I could think back to the days where 4" heels were the ONLY things I would wear!

bzi - you''re right...that''s something I''ve been putting off for some reason. Maybe because when I bought my dress @ David''s Bridals I just didn''t see anything I liked. Then again that was like 4 months ago! So you''re right, I need to do that.

Other than bridal salons all the dept. stores told me they don''t really carry bridal type shoes. There is an actual Stuart Weitzman store in SF though supposedly. I don''t ever see the SW bridal shoes in any dept store though.

Violet - I''ll have to go to actual bridal salons, I guess I''ve been hoping I''ll find something that would look great with the dress (even if not a "bridal" shoe). And I agree with you about the Zappos thing...the one thing I need to remember is to keep rechecking, as they seem to get new styles in often. I''ve ordered from them before, so I know it''s really true, you can order as many pairs as you want and return all of them if you don''t like them or they don''t fit well. I remember feeling weird about it the first time I ordered from them, like I was doing something wrong!

Wrong because you were going to return them? I''m the queen of returning stuff. I order a whole bunch of clothes online, keep one shirt and sent like 10 things back. If they have a great return policy then it doesn''t matter. Places like Nordstroms for example, will take items back without the tag even attached! Stores are just getting much better about returns. Now if only you could do that with wedding dresses....

Have you considered going with shoes that aren''t white?

number 1 are gorgeous! I love them and think they would be great with your dress.
