It looks like a good cut, nice velvety color. Because there's some yellow in it, it may look too close to peridot or green tourmaline that others might mistake it for that. Sapphire will be SO much more durable, though. If you don't mind people potentially misidentifying your sapphire (because sapphire is known more for blues and pinks than for greens), then I think you've made a good choice.

Looks good to me. Few nicely green sapphires around.

Very nice but definite yellow modifier in there. it will of course get mistaken for a peridot...it just will (most green stones do...lol) but peridot has a bit of a waxy appearance, the sparkle/hardness of a sapphire is totally different.

If you like it and its priced well (with a good return policy if you don't!), go for it!

I love it! I have a tourmaline this color. I also have a Pakistani peridot. It looks way more like my tourmaline. The polish on this stone is so nice! The color is lovely!

I think it’s beautiful! It doesn’t look like a peridot to me, I would have guessed mint tourmaline. But a green sapphire like this is not common, most of the time they look less attractive. I would go for it! I think rose gold would go beautifully with this shade of green.

I think it's very pretty but I LOOOOOOOVE green!

Originally the seller said that the stone was 7.8x7 and i was into that but now he says that the size is 7.2x6.2 which i'm not so sure about at the price point. i'll have to think about it. but i'm glad to know the color and the cut are fine! thanks all.

Lovely green :kiss2:

I like green sapphires either a dark deep green, a blue green so a not too dark teal green colour or actually with more yellow than this one again so they are almost a neon yellowish green, but that is just my taste, the stone you have selected is pretty and a decent cut, just not in my preference for colour.
