what do you think about this manuel mota dress...

hi all i just purchase this manuel mota dress called savannah... it was from a cancel wedding so it was never wore.. brand new $6800 but i got it for $1,035... which i thought it was a good deal especially its a Manuel Mota Couture dress........I think the seller is includding the lace veil, bag, and swaroski hair pin for me buttttt again I am not sure because it said if i "buy it now "that would be included but since i make an offer on it..

who knows... i don't want to ask the seller anything onced the offer was being accepted because you know how that be.. they could either originally going to send that out to me but since i ask the seller might ask me $$$$$

so for now i keep it quiet...

OK OK... here come in the scaryyyyyyyyy part about this dress.... As you guys already known.. Pronovias and Manuel Mota size are the same........ they run 4,6,8,10 etc.............. This dress is a size 10 and I'm a 4...........

I'm soooo scared that when i get an alterations down to a size 4.. It might not be possible or look as nice...... anyone here have that problem?????????? help plz

Please don''t worry about the size! Check out my "I''m married" thread below...my dress is a San Patrick (part of Pronovias) I wear a street size 4 and my dress was a size 8....(or 10)...I don''t remember right now, I was between the 2 sizes.

Their websites have size charts you can use...if you don''t find it through their website, trying finding it through the rkbridal.com site...they have almost every size chart you can imagine!...

I think you won''t need that many alterations...mine fit like a glove...I only needed to take it to the seamstress for the hem and bustle...that''s it...no other alterations were made!...

Manuel Mota designs for Pronovias and his dresses tend to be pretty pricey. I love Manuel Mota!! I''m not sure how big a difference it is to size a dress down but down is always better than having to go up! That dress btw, reminds me of the one Katherine McPee wore at her wedding a few weeks ago, her story was in people magazine. I loved her wedding photos!

RE: the size... did the seller list the size as a "street size 10" or just "size 10"? Because, as others have noted, bridal gown sizes are inflated as compared to street sizes. I''m a size 2/4-ish, but my Pronovias gown is an 8 and fits perfectly. If the seller just listed "size 10" they''re likely referring to the label size, which shouldn''t be too far off from your actual size.

i think.. its the label size 10... i look at the size chart its not that big from my actual size.. im just a lil worried and nervous...... It would def be a good deal if the seller includes all the veils, bag, crystal hair pin ihhhiihih........... i don''t know if im that lucky... sometime next week i would know... now im just crossing my finger............. anywho thanks for bring Katherine Mcphee wedding up... Honestly.. i have not follow up with celebrities wedding for a while... so i did some search today on her wedding... I found out that its by the same designer as mine....... Manuel Mota..... hihihii

wonder how much her wedding dress cost???????? its doesn''t really look like mine that much... although i kinda like mine better......

but i think i should add a tail like her????? hmmm dunnoo...... im very nervous about my wedding dress considering.. My wedding is not until for a while.. this is a 2007 line by manuel mota.......

I wouldn''t worry about the size of the dress. I don''t think it will be an issue. As others have mentioned, sizing down is far easier than sizing up.

yea i will have it alter...... just i never thought about ever own this dress at all... it was just the other day browsing and i got the steal deal... i was suppose to get the pronovias duesto dress.... that was what i planned to for monthsss... hihih
