I like this men''s ring. Anyone know anything about it? It''s a boone titanium ring. I like the way it looks. I wonder if it would scratch much with the bead blast finish. It''s so cool!

What do you think? I know I''m not suppose to be looking at rings yet but I had to. ;-)

You''re so funny, ukieza!

I think the ring is lovely. From what I understand, titanium is extremely strong. I''d think that would mean it wouldn''t scratch easily, but I''m not sure. (would any experts like to chime in?)

One thing I''ve heard about titanium rings is that they can''t be sized. You might want to take that into consideration. Good luck in your secretive ring search. We ladies on PS wouldn''t know anything about that...

I love this ring! My Fiance and I are going to look at wedding bands tomorrow and he is looking at something similar to this only in white gold or platinum.

BrightSpot: Haha! Okay, so I have been looking for my own ring. I think it's funny. But then again, I'm the type of guy that usually just tells her what I want. Hard for her to pick things out for me and surprise me because I'm so particular. I'm also a research nut. Gotta find out everything about it before I buy.

I was reading some reviews on another site with rings from another designer and they've been claiming that it scratches easily. I'm just curious if the bead blasted finish would scratch easily too. I'm guessing the mirror finish/satin finish scratches/scuffs easily from what I've been reading.

That and I wanted opinions on it. ;-) If I would do a stone it would probably be a trillion shapped one. Is that the triangle shape? They call it trillion right? Those are pretty cool looking.

Ukieza

Yes a trillion is a triangular shaped stone. I like that ring btw!!!

I think every metal scratches easily. I have a white gold e-ring and it''s scratched something awful. I have only had it since February and I work in an office, so i am not sure why it is so scratched already. I am actually thinking of changing the setting so you can''t notice the scratches as easily...but we''ll see.

You sound just like my man...he researches everything too. He never makes a quick decision when it comes to major decisions. I know you''ll get the perfect ring for you!!!

Love the ring! My husband has one similar in design but the two small accent inserts are yellow gold and the titanum is poslished not flat. Titanum is really strong and my husband buffs out any minor scratches with a scotch-brite pad and looks great!

Thanks eveyone so far.

Diamondlil, that''s good to hear. I''ve heard some about that too. Does it work really well or can you still see some of the scuff or scratch?

Ukieza, I think that''s cute that you''re ring shopping! I''m a research nut too.

I would think that a brushed finish like this ring would show scratches less than a polished one.

Diamondlil, that''s amazing that your DH can polish his band w/ a scotch-brite pad! I''m sure his white band w/ the yellow gold accents compliments your gorgeous new ring nicely!

It does look cool but how about this one?

More men''s ring can be found at this site. Very modern designs, I think I might go with one of the listed on there.

furrer jacot

Cool site! Thanks Tenwood!

This one is wicked. I don''t know if I like it or I hate it. It''s really interesting.
3 rings in one?

Ukieza

very interesting! haven''t seen anything like it.

This is very bad. I shouldn't be looking at these. Next thing I know I'm going to want to custom make my own. :-( This is what I did with the e-ring.... and before that, a TV stand.. and before that.. a coffee table. :-( hehe..

I take my thanks back from tenwood. :-P j/k hehe Seriously though.. now it's got me thinking.

I''m very happy with my Boone titanium ring.

I love the ring you chose. And I love the rings on Furrer Jacot!

You could always change your band at every 10 year anniversary...

BTW this is coming from a female who owns a titanium wedding band (although it''s not on my hand yet...) I am hoping to purchase millions of sets so my husband and I can switch every once and a while.

I think it works pretty well. It definitely won''t do much to a deep scratch, but the surface scratches you get from daily wear buff out nicely. He uses a fine-gauge scotch-brite. My husband does not wear the titanium ring for working on the yard or the car (he has a plain gold band he wears to bang around), so the scratches he tends to get are just from wearing it to work, etc.

Hey, this is possible!!! I don''t know where you are from, but there is a jeweler in Northern Virginia (Lenkersdorfer Jewelers) who teach you how cast your own wedding rings. I read it here on PS a year or so back. I always thought that was really romantic.

ep6586: I like that one too. I think I want a tad more on it though. Yours looks cool though too!

rube: Holy cats.. you''ll be BROKE! ;)

Diamondlil: Wow! I''ll be happy I''m not broke after buying mine, her wedding and this e-ring. The wedding ring will probably be made by the same place to match the e-ring. Just no centerstone and prongs. Everything else should be identical.. I hope. ;-) Which is more expensive? Gold or Titanium?

-Ukieza

diamondlil: Casting I probably could do.. it''s setting I wouldn''t want to try. ;) I guess in a guys ring it wouldn''t matter. I have done a ring before but it was in art class and it didn''t turn out too great. I was probably 9th or 10th grade. ;)

Diamondlil,

That''s hilarious! Perhaps diamond/ring fever is contagious.

The brushed finish shown up top is a little more robust than a beadblast finish. The beadblast finish is made up of a lot of little hills and valleys, so the hills are more easily rounded down. The brushed finish is one of those that can be buffed with a ScotchBrite pad to as-new looking. Titanium is about as hard as stainless steel. The main things that will scratch it are hardened steels and minerals.

Excellent! Thanks Mr. Boone. I if that''s the case then I''ll probably consider brushed over bead blasted. Good to know! :)

Thanks again!
