What do you think about this sapphire?

Hi. I need a colored stone (open to sapphire, spinel or anything with dispersion or flouresence) to fit in a setting that I just took a round diamond out of. The diamond that was in it previously was 6.43x6.48 and 4 mms deep.

Do you like this sapphire? Do you think it would fit in the above setting?

There is quite a bit of difference in mm size between those two stones...you''d better talk to a jeweler and show them your specific setting.

Thanks Neat. I thought a smaller diameter would allow for the additional .10 in depth. (?)

You are right, I know nothing about how this really works. I will check with a jeweler.

No...diameter isn''t the same thing as depth. Best to bring it to a competent jeweler.
