Hi there! I came across this Dendritic Agate on ebay and thought that it''s a pretty piece. It is selling at US 50. What do you think? Is a picture like this hard to come by? This piece measures App 15 x 12.4 x 4.1mm is a cabochon like this hard to set? Do you have any setting idea? tks!

It''s a type of quartz, so I''d set it as a pendant probably just with a simple band of metal round it and bail on the top.

It’s a cute piece and is inexpensive as expected. I do not think it is a particularly difficult “picture” to find and should do well as a pendant or brooch combo due to the size.

Its pretty. It looks like a fall dandilion (when its all poofy).

It would be easy to bezel set; it would need a custom setting as it is not a calibrated size, but that''s a pretty easy type of setting to make.

The price is high for dendritic agate, but it''s not easy to find such good "pictures" in the stone, so in my opinion the stone is worth what they are asking.

has a very distinct "picture" which many don''t have. i like it.

I think it would make a neat pendant, and would bezel set it as others have said.

Hi there thanks to all the input! Can I know why is bezel set the usual way to set a cabochon like this agate? How will it look with a prong-set? it seems a little weird from my imagination though:) I was thinking of a brush-gold bezel, can anyone provide some advise on the approx cost? tks!
