No one can confirm SLP exists. Besides, even if SLP did get confirmation of existing, is the stone diffused? You can't tell because the memo has limited information. "Heat treatment" in sapphires can mean traditional heat treatment, or diffusion. If it is diffused, I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it.

Thank you, TL. I forgot this thread but truth to be told, there are so many gem-somethings on ebay, it is easy to confuse. I thought it was bogus.

Yup, since SLP is questionable, I don’t know that the memo is really worth anything, much less wonder if the yellow sapphire is really what it is in terms of treatment and etc. Another thing that bothers me is the “5A” rating. Since when has the triple A increased to five As as the top grade now?
