What happened to Crafted By Infinity's website?

Hey folks,

I own a beautiful Crafted By Infinity 5 stone diamond ring that I got from our lovely Wink and Wolf Diamonds (previously HPD).

I know a few other retailers sell Crafted By Infinity diamonds, and now that I can't get them from Wink at Wolf, I've been looking at other reputable retailers.
I wanted to refresh myself with CBI's website, but it's nowhere to be found. All I get is the big "404- Error Page Not Found".

I contacted Concierge Diamond in MSP, and they told me they could source some CBI diamonds for me.... but I wanna know what happened to CBI's website, and why can't I find it? Maybe I'm being a class-A dummy here, but I don't think so?

Any help is appreciated!

They no longer exist. Long story still unfolding.
I am sure someone will fill you in soon.

Oh no!

I hope something is announced soon, I would like to know what happened :( thanks for giving me a heads up @Garry H (Cut Nut) ! Do you think it will be announced soon?

I know the story of HPD, OP you can search on that. But I didn’t know that the diamond cutting house, CBI, no longer exists. I’m wondering now, because they don’t have a website/commercial entity — have they stopped cutting and selling CBI branded super-ideal diamonds? In other words, are the existing CBIs the only CBIs and there will be no other diamonds cut that way in the future? It is puzzling to me that a brand that had a very distinct super-ideal cut (that many consumers appreciate) would now be extinct.

Exactly!

I know the story of HPD, and Wolf Diamonds with Wink, but I had no idea that Crafted By Infinity diamond cutting was also out of business... that's why I am so confused.

I am hoping someone else can chime in because I've tried googling it and can't find anything. It was my understanding that CBI was not the same business as HPD or Wolf Diamonds.

@Sprinkles&Stones I just did a Google search for CBI and the website does work. It’s just very sparse.

The website appears to only have 1 page now, which is very weird.

last I heard: Due to ongoing lawsuits those involved have been told to not to comment publicly by their lawyers.

What is public is that cbi as we knew it is out of business.
Out of the ashes of cbi, the cutting house who was producing/cutting/polishing the cbi diamonds was offering them through WolfCBI which failed.
I can not confirm if any other dealers are offering them or what is the status of any more stones being produced.

ugh, what a nightmare

I too assumed legal proceedings would prevent anyone in the know from commenting on anything specific.

Sounds like for us consumers the only viable path forward is to move on from everything related to CBI until maybe one day we hear something definitive.

thanks for posting this.. i was looking a few weeks back and couldn't figure out why i couldn't get an actual site to CBI.. only that CBI/wolf page that went nowhere....

Dear @LightBright

Rumor has it that Continental Diamond in Minneapolis and Wink Jones are working towards pooling their resources.

More than this I cannot say, but I think you and many others will find the seemingly interminable wait to be well worth while…

Stay Tuned!

Wow! Exciting!

WOOHOOOO!!

I did call Continental Diamond last week and I expressed my interest and the multitudes of other PSer’s interests in CBI diamonds… and I was told that they “might just have something in store ;)”. I will be reaching back out this summer when I am seriously ready to get some studs. I will keep everyone posted! I was born and raised in MSP, so I will be making a trip this summer to visit Continental Diamond in person to talk about getting some CBI’s…..

Stay tuned ;)

Ohhh I hadn't heard of Continental Diamonds and I live in MSP... excited to hear what comes of this!

Hehe hi neighbor! I am now in CA but I hope to be back in my native state in a few years time <3

I wish they listed the CBI diamonds on the website, I am not into going back and forth via email for every bit of info about various diamonds.

They are working on that. There is so much to do before they launch their beautiful Hearts and Arrows diamond.

Continental Diamond already has a very extensive selection of diamonds that they own. Diamonds in many shapes and sizes that they liked enough to invest in. There are also many of the new hearts and arrows diamonds waiting for the trade mark approval so they can be confidently sent to AGS for grading.

I am still a consultant with Continental, but when all is ready I will become a full fledged employee of this wonderful company.

Do you know of timeframe when CBI will be put on website?

Any update in this matter?

I spoke at length yesterday with the folks at Continental. The website is getting closer and closer to being ready to publish and many wonderful things are happening, More to come in the future, but cats are in the bag and must stay there for a while yet.
