What is going on with all this unhappiness?

Is the earth changing its axis tilt or what? It seems that there are a good bit of relationship woes lately. I am trying to figure out what it could be. You know how SOs can act different somtimes and you attribute it to a full moon. Maybe it is something like that.

My boyfriend said he was about to get his man-period the other day when he was grouchy... you know when he volunteers that explanation, something weird is in the air!!

I think maybe it''s the seasons, like Italia and Lucy said. I know trying to get adjusted to cold weather again at least makes me irritable. I''m going to hope maybe some of it is that some of the guys are realizing how close Christmas is and maybe are getting antsy to propose... Sure, we''ll go with that.

. There''s kind of a gloomy feeling all over the world at the moment, and I think the economy has a lot to do with it.

My boyfriend and I have been getting into stupid, petty fights for like the past few weeks and it''s been making me sad..

Fall is transition time - the human nesting instinct kicks in big time.

Time to clear out the old and the stale and stock up with fresh and new to last the winter.
Summer is over and suddenly everyone is tucked away cozy in their homes again.

In autumn there aren''t lots of outside activities to distract from core relationships, and there is a sense of "summer''s over back to work".
Fall is a very introspective time, and if you or your loved ones have done growing and changing over the spring and summer, this is when you notice it.

Also the days are getting shorter and colder, which can make folks depressed.

Hot chocolate! Chai tea! Mulled cider! Soup! Stew! Pie!

There is an old First Nation''s saying: Courage is a full belly (and people with full bellies are in better moods, generaly)

Amen! I so agree. Lately, I''ve been feeling down and just thinking about waiting to get engaged makes me even more sad. I try to cheer myself up by thinking of all my blessings but, still doesn''t help. I hope all this unhappiness passes for everyone!

Change of season, time of year... People are gearing up for Christmas (and Thanksgiving in the US) and that''s a stressful time to begin with- when you factor in money worries that many people have right now, I guess it makes sense.

Yup, I agree. Change in season plus realization that holiday season is coming up (T-giving, Xmas, V-day) which usually leads to tensions in relationships where "waiting" is going on. On one hand there is the hope that it happens by certainly holidays and on the other side is the desire to avoid additional pressure/expectation.

On the plus side, the gov''t was SUPER quick getting the checks out! I got a note saying my refund is pending, and I only filed about two weeks ago. (Consumer debt, consider yourself vanquished!) Hopefully they''re quick for you, too.
