Ladies-Now I may be wrong because I only scrolled until I found the earliest thread, BUT I count OVER A WEEK since the last LIW got engaged!!!!

Keep hearing about this Engagement Chicken, how do I make it? My boyfriend needs all the help he can get!! Am feeling no closer to a proposal than ever! Have really tried hard not to talk about it and I don''t think I''ve mentioned anything to do with engagements/ weddings for weeks. Help me ladies!!

HAHA, saw thqat yesterday. I told SO that I was going to get one next time I come to visit him. He was more than a bit concerned... I don''t really think it will help my chances, but it MIGHT be a funny story! I could probably convince him to do one too, if I pay...

The "fishy" mani/pedi...

About 3 weeks ago on "I survived a Japanese Game Show" (yes, it was the ONLY one I watched), the winning team got to go to this japanese spa. This was one of the treatments, the fish are supposed to remove the dead skin from your ankle down to your toes.

I felt SOOOO bad for this one girl, because, between the 4 people on the team, over HALF the fishes were surrounding her feet!!! LOL!!!

I noticed the lack of engagements here as well! Usually every week we are surprised by at least 3-4...maybe there have been engagements but the PSers just haven''t posted about them.

Oh, and I will be telling him to get his butt in gear. Just a couple days ago I asked when we were going to go look at sparklies again, and he said, "Whenever you want to go." Don''t think for a second that I''m not going to throw his butt in the car this weekend and look at sparkly things until our retinas burn!

Yeah we need some new engagment stories over here.....and whats magic mani? I haven''t heard of this one. (sorry if thats a dumb question but I don''t know! HA!)
 
A magic mani is essentially (if I recall correctly) getting manicures to make your hands nice so that he will be inspired to propose when he sees your beautiful hands :)
 
lol oh, ok well that would make sense. Silly me! Well, I do my nails all the time and while FF notices and comments on how nice they look, still no ring.

BF is finally looking at all the emails about rings and diamonds that I''ve sent him. I''ve been talking with Bob at Whiteflash about a setting. I love that I''m doing all the homework! haha!!!

But hopefully it will inspire him to get in gear!
Though I think I still have a good 6 months in front of me....

Does a "promise ring" count?

My boyfriend is coming up to Canada tomorrow with my promise ring...... will put pics and story on the "Show Me the Ring" forum (it''s nothing major but has great sentimental value.... good story!)

FF bought my ring last Sunday... now just waiting for the proposal... I know he had already figured out how he wanted to do it , because he told me he already figured it out a while ago and no longer needed to think about it, but then he told me yesterday or today (cant remember) that he was mad his plan was ruined, and i said what what plan!?!? he goes well we got the ring and I want you to have it now... I was like ahhh...boo..bcuz I think he planned soemthing fabulous, so I told him to keep doing his plan :-)
 
If someone lives in Cali and wouldn''t mind stoping by Tacori to tell them to hurry up with my ring then maybe I''d have some news for you. Maybe someone could make them Engagment Chicken. Now thats just silly. I actually hope they take their time putting together my ring...I just can''t wait for the proposal. SOON.
