I'm back from a long vacation and am going through heavy jet lag now, my head is not functioning well with work, so I'm on gemstone duty! :p
This is a stone I bought during my vacation, it's a Vietnam lavender pink spinel. Remember I just bought a 3.9ct pear and I thought that's the best I've seen? This one beats it on many levels, carat weight is 5.6ct, color is even more intense.
However I am not sure whether I should recut it, into a normal pear or an oval? I believe it would be still above 5ct after recut. It's now a round tip pear, and I am struggling without any ideas for setting...What would you do?
Just some awful quality photos for now.
