What Size Ring Do You Wear?

My left hand is a 5 3/4--but I have to get a six because that size doesn't go over my arthritic knuckles so my left hand rings twirl around. Right hand is a straight 6.

4.25 on my left and 4.5 on my right.

My left hand I wear a 6 or 6 1/4. My right hand a 6 1/2.

Left hand: 4.75 (for 1.8-2mm shank) - 5.5 (for a 3+ mm shank or ring closest to knuckle when stacking)
Right hand: 4.5 - 5.25 (same as above)

All spin in the winter, and are snug in the summer.

I'm a lefty... BOO! ::)

6 3/4...why or why cant I have small fingers!!! ;(

7 1/2 used to be 6 many moons ago :)

Deb, yes, 3 is a weird size. Most stock rings are sized at a 5 back home, so I feel a little better trying on things there.

I believe that "back home" is Japan, Sakuracherry? The stock ring being a size 5 would indicate that the average hand and ring finger is smaller there than here. I actually tried to look up average finger and ring sizes in different parts of the world when I saw so many size 3's earlier in his thread. One vendor on Pricescope posted, years ago, that in his neck of the woods many women had large ring sizes. He was from the midwest. I had wondered if any of the women posting here with small ring sizes were of Asian descent because I have read that some women here on Pricescope who are of Asian descent have smaller, more slender fingers than some of us clodhoppers of European descent <sigh>.

While looking for information about hand, finger, and ring sizes I actually stumbled upon a fascinating (to me) blog about Asian American women versus Asian women. It may not interest anyone else, but in case it does, I will post a link to it.

BTW, who is the FK you and JustGinger were discussing? The one who lists things on Diamond Bistro? I didn't immediately think of who had those initials and I don't frequent the buying forums.

I'm a 4.75 on my left and a 5 on my right. I like to wear rings on my right middle finger as well and that's a 6.75-7.

You must be my ring sister cause those are my stats too :wavey: :naughty:

Ring fingers both hands are a 4.75 but I usually wear in between a 4.75 and a 5.00 so my rings are 4 and 7/8ths. My middle finger is a 6.25 to 6.5.

3.5 finger size, most rings are 3.75 or some are 4 so I don't have to custom order them. I can wear 3.75 on my right hand too, and I know the left is smaller.

Fwiw, I was born in Korea but raised here. I wish the rest of me was small like my fingers ;(

3.5

7.25 when I got married, 8 thirty four years later. 8 is big in the winter.

Deb, the article is very interesting. The environment you grow up in determines many things. Some of my Asian American friends are much taller than me. Since an average Asian woman is shorter and thinner than an average American woman, I am not surprised to find that the average finger size is a 5 in Japan.

Ginger and I were referring to ForteKitty. She's got small fingers as well.

Of course!!! I bet she has beautiful jewelry. I should have thought of her. Only I had no idea she posted on the selling and buying boards! ;))

I wear a 9 1/2 - 10 on my left ring finger, though the comfort varies with the season. In winter my ring nearly can fall off, and in summer I can hardly rotate it.

My rings are a 5.5 to get over my knuckle, but my finger is more like a 5.

Size 4 3/4 on both hands. Darn knuckles!

I'm a 5.25 (maybe a little smaller) in the winter and a 5.5 in the summer when it's hot and sticky.

5.5 down from an 8.25 when pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was stuck at a 6 for awhile but finally dropped a few more baby weights lbs and went down to a 5.75 and then a 5.5 even in summer!!! I'm guessing if I drop my last 10 lbs of baby weight I might even go down a bit more...which no one understands :Up_to_something:

My finger is actually a 4.5 but I need a 5 to get over my large knuckles so it's sized a 5 with a sizing bridge so that it doesn't spin too much.

8.5 on left ring finger...9.5 on my right ring finger and I have short stubby fingers :(sad

I used to be a 5.25 on my left hand ring finger: post pregnancy, it went up to 5.75, but back down to 5.25 when I went to pre-preg weight. But since I wear rings on pretty much all my fingers depending on day, tide, phase of the moon etc ... feel free to shoot anything between a 3.5 and an 8.5 over thisaway!

Clearly you need to move to a beach city in Southern California. :sun:
Rings don't shrink and swell here.

LOL. But my fingers do.

4.25. I thought I have fat fingers compared to my mom and sisters growing up, but then found out that mine are actually the smallest. My perception is so off. =D

Yep, I'm a 3.25 and a Midwesterner, too! As a kid/teenager I hated my tiny fingers because I could not buy rings (costume jewelry) ever. But now I love it because the bling looks bigger! Plus I kind of like getting my rings custom made instead of just sized down from a stock item.

There was a poster here, Kittybean, and I think she had the smallest ring size at 2.5!
