One is pale pink towards purple but fluorescent red. Is it a pale ruby? Thanks

Hi, it looks like a purple/pink star sapphire to me. It would have to be pink/red in most lights to be a star ruby. Other stones with asterism are star quartz and star garnet, spinel and diopside. But only star sapphire, star quartz and star spinel and sometimes star garnet have 6 legs. Star diopside and garnet (often shows) 4 legs. Star aquamarine is rare, 4 legs.
Those definitely are not star quartz, and dont look like star spinel to me because of the stars themselves. Most star spinels have a sharp, thin star with relative opacity. But there are exceptions as always.
Beautiful find!

Very cool, thank you . I never knew about 4 v 6 legs, another clue to stick into my brain somewhere. Interesting with these stones I finally get to see up close “silk” at 60 degree angle!!
