I was looking over at the proposals section and something that the guys seem to have trouble deciding on is what time of day to propose. I was wondering if you ladies had a preference? I've never really thought about it...

I'm not sure how to make a poll on PS2.0 so here is an outside link where you can vote ;)) hopefully it works!

He and I are both night owls, so the early evening or Night...or even after a night of dancing( yes we still go out to bars and clubs weekly) when we are winding down and sitting outside looking at the stars, still dressed nice minues the heels, thats perfect for me....

or if it is during the day. I would say during a football...preferably during a game that out team is winning...we go to a local bar that happens to be our teams bar, and they have 12 hicken wings for 3 bucks, BIG beefy hot dogs for 1 dollar, half off the menu, and Nachos(super good, and Huge) for like 5 bucks. Everyone who supports of team gets free soft drinks. They also have a weekly raffle after each quater fr team stuff and free coupons for the resturant. Last year, thay gave away like 3 or 4 jersey's. Him asking right after a touch down, would be awesome.....(O, cant wait till football season....FOOTBALL...FOOTBAL....FOOTBALL......)

It would be better if it's earlier in the day on our day off. Sunday we both don't need to work. Since my bf and I don't live together, if he proposes earlier in the day, we get to be with each other for the whole day as a newly engaged couple. I wouldn't want him to propose late at night and then go home.

I have no preference about the proposal, I've told bf he can pretty much do whatever the heck he wants.

But If he does it at night it better be somewhere with a lot of jewllery friendly lighting ;)) Because I want to see that baby sparkle!

*Edited* due to my piss poor spelling and grammer.

I didn't think that I cared either, but now that I'm thinking about it I really agree with you Beezygal, I like the idea of mid-day so as to spend the rest of the day together as a newly engaged couple! Also, I would really love to have a little get together with my girly buddies for a viewing of the ring and lunch or some such =)

My FH did it during the day specifically because he knew I'd want to look at it all day :) Smart guy! But, I honestly thought he was going to do it at night, so I was definitely surprised!

My husband proposed at 6:30am on a Friday. It was awesome because I had all day to look at it, got to go to work and show it off to all the girls at work, then we went out to dinner, and came home to friends at our house with champagne for a mini party. I really would not have cared when he proposed but I thought his timing was perfect for us. I knew he had the ring and wanted to surprise me, which I thought was impossible, but 6:30am while running was quite a surprise.

I think I'd want it to happen earlier in the day, so there would be time to call/tell everyone :)

HaHa...im the only one who likes night...lol....i see all the ladies points, but are just not day people...and not too many people i want to share my engagement with, beside you ladies and some close freinds, so for me...night is just fine.

I would definitely love a morning or afternoon proposal. That way I have time to call everyone, go tell people in person and stare at my new sparkly all day. I think if he proposed at night, I also wouldn't be able to sleep. I probably won't be able to sleep no matter what time he does it. But, if he did it at night, I think it would be worse.

I don't think I'll be able to sleep no matter what too!

My biggest worry is that I will probably can't sleep the night before my wedding. Then it would be bad, I'm scared I don't look so good. The makeup won't stay on as well. I think I'm thinking too much! I'm way ahead of myself.
