ma re-the dispersion part was an initial concern of mine as well. The umbalites are actually not that dark or that purple, but that has been my frustration this week with taking photos-they are not turning out true to color.

I can''t decide so couldn''t vote! If you go with three the same color you should consider getting them from the same vendor/ cutter. Otherwise the choices are endless and you can work with anything. Either would be fun.

I had a green sapphire with two tiny blue sapphires on the side. It''s a pretty easy color combo to wear. So is white and red.

IK-it''s funny, I don''t even worry about the color combos and how I will wear it. My wardrobe is quit colorfull :)

:) The funny thing is that my avatar is only a bi-color tourmaline, it is one of the vendor photos and I loved the rainbow affect so much I made it my avatar

I went to the Bonhams & Butterfields jewelry auction preview today in San Francisco. What fun! Anyway I saw a few interesting color combos that might look nice if you decide to go with a center stone thats different from the sides. A yellow sapphire with pink sapphire side stones. And peridot with green tourmaline and tiny colored diamond accents set in high karat gold. It was stunning. Have you decided what your going to do?
