BLUE SWOOOOOON!!!!

Post the pic ! We can see it in your avatar but stick the thing in anyways! Kenny never plays over here much in CS!

And as always, Jeff White Rocks!

LS

Nice! glad you let him do the entire recut. That stone will really perform (and I don''t think you''re going to miss that smidge he cut off

Thanks! I feel like a kid who can't wait for Christmas morning.

Specs are 2.0cts 7.3mm.
Traditional heat treatment, Sri Lankan origin.

ETA-I only lost 0.03mm off the face up size!

Whoa, we''re almost twins! Here''s mine:
2.04 ct
7.6mm diameter
I''ll post a little pic below for reference (hope it''s not too big, don''t want to threadjack!)

LS you can thread jack any of my threads any day. It was your sapphire that confirmed for me that I really wanted a sapphire ering and not a diamond one. And I love love love your blueberry! Your color was originally what I was after but he had this one which was a little lighter and I fell head over heals for it once I saw it.

Thank you for the compliment. It''s Jeff White and WF who get all the credit.

Your ring is going to be stunning. Have you figured out a setting yet?

LS

Well I have been round and round and round the setting thing. First I wanted a Legacy look alike, them a James Meyer, now I''m really interested in two different Sholdt settings and my local jeweler was able to get samples of the two Sholdt rings that will be in the second week of March. Depending on how I feel about them I will either go that route or some type of halo. JM is out, even if I did decide to go with him if I sent him the stone tomorrow he wouldn''t be able to set it until June/July and I hope to be engaged by then!

Wow, you''re sapphire is beautiful Stepcutgirl! Can hardly wait to see pictures when you get it!

Thanks AN! I can''t wait either!

Wow, I never thought I''d say this about a sapphire, but look at those arrows!! Lovely stone.

OMG! That''s a very gorgeous blue sapphire! Glad it didn''t loose much "mm" after the full recut. Congrats stepcutgirl! We''re all excited to see the RL photos once you receive it. Keep us posted

TL-that''s a huge compliment from you! I''m so proud of it, but really it''s all Jeff''s skill and eye.

Blith-Thanks!

Lovely blue and Jeff’s cutting never fails to impress! Aren't you glad you went for a complete recut?

absolutely gorgeous!
jeff''s skill in recuts and minimizing loss never fails to impress.

cannot wait to see the real thing SCN!

W! That is a beautiful blue! Jeff did some magic on that stone! It was pretty before but it''s a showstopper now!

Jeff always does amazing work. The stone is beautiful!

Wow, that''s a gorgeous stone! I can''t wait to see real photos of it. You definitely made the right choice with your recut.

Oh wow, what a beautiful color and great cut. You barely lost any face up size at all. Can''t wait to see how you decide to set it.

Thank you for all the compliments! I am so excited about it and yes, very happy I went for the full recut.

I need to prepare myself for the size though. I recieved a 12x10mm malachite from Barry in the mail today and was expecting a HUGE stone, when I opened it up I was like, it's so small. Sigh...apparently everything in my mind is as big as it is on the screen, even when I sketch out size with a ruler.

Props to you Step. You definitely made the right decision. Sometimes it pays to take a little chance. You have a real prize there.

I stand in complete awe of Jeffs abilities. A loss of .03 (or was it .003) mm on a full recut is absolutely amazing. Its almost like he''s done that before...

Thanks Revolution. Thank you also for attempting to speak some sense into me. At first I said that it was a 0.03 loss but that''s not right, it was a 0.3mm loss because it was 7.6mm and now is 7.3mm.

If the mail lady does not get here soon I am going to implode. Tracking says it arrived at my post office at 4am this morning. Think it will be delivered today or Monday?

ETA-Once again I'm on the slow bus. It says right at the top of the page Scheduled for Delivery: Saturday, February 27, 2010.

Woot!

TODAY!

See my edit Chrono. I really need to chill out and read the whole thing! I am like pacing up and down the street.

We posted at nearly the same time.

I don't blame you for your overexcitement though especially when wanting to receive a sapphire like that.

I just drove the neighborhood to see where she is. My bf told me I''m acting like a "nut bar".
