do you like it? and your dream car is a ?

I currently drive an Equinox (Chev), smaller SUV, (in silver)..I love it..good on gas..nice smooth ride, however, I am outgrowing it. My two boys play competitive hockey, so once the two big hockey bags are in the back..there's not much room for anything else. So..I convinced hubby to by me a larger SUV...the Lexus GX470 (I will likely order in pearl white) or silver again. It seats 8..and I'm sure a beautiful ride as well! Will let you know if I like it!

Black Dodge Nitro. I like it because it holds lots of ''stuff'' but having no kids, it''s a little too much for just me.
Dream car is to ALSO have a cute convertible.

I drive a black 2007 Honda Civic EX. I love it. I traded in my 2005 Equinox for the Civic in November of 2006. I was sick of wasting so much gas driving the Equinox, and the Civic is actually a much nicer ride. I did love the heated seats in my Equinox, though.

FI drives a silver 2007 Honda Civic EX. He traded in his Blazer for the Civic, and he loves his car, too.

ETA: I don't have a dream car, actually. I've even said I'll be happy to drive Civics for the rest of my life. Dream jewelry is a different story, though . . .

I drive a red Infiniti G35 coupe, sport edition (loves me 19 inch rims!!!). I love that car - it makes me smile every time I drive it.

I also have a black Acura MDX for hauling the baby around. But it is 3 years old, so it needs to go. I''m liking the Lexus RX, but I want something a bit more "peppy".

I don''t have a "dream car". I love cars, but I am in love for about 3 years, and then bye bye, and on to my next dream!

I currently have a silver Lexus GX470 and love it! (Not loving the $75+ fill ups, though. Ugh.)

I have two little ones, so it will be a while before I can downsize .... not sure what my dream car is. Some type of convertible, maybe? I like the Lexus SC430 with its top down, but don''t care for the way it looks with its hard top.

I have a Sapphire Silver Crossfire. Sharp little two-seater, mean in the curves but a little harsh on the wallet when it comes to gas, as it only takes Premium. Ouch.

Since we want to have kids in a year or two though, I want to get a little SUV of some kind. I really like the new Vues.

Nimbus Grey Audi TT Roadster with Baseball Optic interior (it''s the colour of a baseball glove, and stitched like one, too).

We also have a WRCBlue Pearl Subaru STI.

My dream car is one of two 911s . . .

A ''95-''98 993 C4 Cabriolet.

Or a Guards Red 1983 911 SC Cabriolet (Porsche''s first 911 convertible). I had a 1981 911SC coupe in a former life, and I loved it!

I do love my 2001 Accord EX V6 - it''s a great car, but I wouldn''t call it a dream car. I REALLY want a Jeep Wrangler, and I''d also take a BMW or an Acura...

I drive the same car that my mom bought me when I turned 16. A red 1992 Nissan 240sx convertible. I''ll find a pic. I LOVE my car to death, it is my dream car... sadly, she''s falling apart
39.gif
The motor that runs the top broke, so it doesn''t go down anymore (my fabulous mother tried putting it down while it was still locked
29.gif
) The A/C doesn''t work either, and since it''s an older car- the AC ran on freon (sp?), which isn''t legal to buy anymore), so they''ll have to convert the whole system. It''s in dire need of shocks/struts and a paint job, too. If I had the $$, I''d actually pass on a new car and drop a new engine in, and fix all the existing problems... I think it just hit 185000 miles.
So here''s a pic (mine obviously isn''t in as nice shape, and minus the fancy rims)

car4444.jpg

Presenting... the smallest car y'all have probably ever seen!!! But FI's is even smaller - and he's well over 6ft!

I love my motor because she's all mine, every last penny of her paid for entirely by me. She's the most expensive thing I own and I'm super proud of myself for buying her all with my own hard-earned dough. She's a nippy little thing and hugs corners nicely (the model is a particular favourite with 'boy racers' over here for a reason
2.gif
). And she gets me 50mpg on average, 60mpg on the motorway!

The one cause for concern I have is that she's only a 2* on the EuroNCAP safety system.

ETA - the dream car is a BMW 3 series coupé. One day

ETA -again - ooh Ellen! You dream hiiiiigh!!!

Hey Lit Chick, we have the same car, a red G35 6MT. Although, I rarely drive it. Hubby gets that honour...I get the bus. A blue Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer. I really don''t like it. DH and I were just talking about replacing it. With three kids we need something spacious enough for 2 big boys, and their friends, and their sports gear, and our little girl with her enormous car seat. Not sure what to get, though. Anything I would like doesn''t have a third row. And anything with a third row that I like has a worthless (read - dangerous) third row. No way would I put a kid in the third row of some of the smaller third rows. Alas, here is where I hamstring myself and continue to drive the gas guzzling bus! I figure driving one big car and carpooling is better for the environment than driving two cars around and not carpooling...If ya buy into all of that!

At least with the third row I have this option.

Now my dream car is another story! As soon as these boys of mine are grown up and outta my house DD and I will be sporting a RED Porche Carrera!!! http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/911/911-carrera-s/ And since I''m reasonable, I will pick the Carrera S...No need for the Turbo, heehee! No Boxter or Cayman for me as I need the huge back seat the Carrera offers in case DH wants to ride along with us!

You and I are car twins!!! I love the G35 - ya gotta drive it!!! I am going to cram a booster seat in the back so me and my little man can cruise!

I have the same SUV trauma. I don''t need the 3rd row, but I need the room in the back to haul stuff. Lemme know what you come up with.

Your dream car looks okay too - although I don''t want the back seat!!!

Oh, I love it when I do drive it! Though since I''m small (5''2") I find that it''s not the most comfortable fit for me. The sunroof is too far back because I need he seat so dang far up to get the clutch in all the way. DH is 6''2" and it''s very comfy for him. Vrooooom Vroooom.

No back seat? I need one of those as I''m sure I''ll be hauling teenage girls all around in 6 - 10 yrs.

I''ll keep you posted on the endless car shopping. I neeeeed an SUV so my dog has someplace to sit...And as much as I love him, it will not be in a leather seat!

I have a white BMW X5 -- it''s a great car... I love the heated steering wheel :-) I really don''t have a "dream" car, but I
would love to have one of these:

astonmartin.jpg

Black Toyota Prius. The only car I would trade my beloved hybrid in for would be a pristine Porsche 356 (although I would feel terribly guilty).

Disclaimer: I am a grad student.

I have a 1989 Dodge Spirit - silver/gray with rust. I drive it and sink money into it to fix it because:

A) insurance is dirt cheap
B) I like driving something older than both my little sisters (jk)
D) The outside is so beat up I can leave it unlocked without fear of it getting stolen!
C) It STILL gets 35 miles to the gallon (30 city)

My dream car is an electric blue corvette. Though after finding pricescope, I think I''d rather sink my money into a diamond than a car - the diamond I KNOW I will have forever.

I gave Hubby a 1969 280 SL Mercedes for our 20th anniversary. It's navy blue with a blue top.

I have a S 430 4Matic Mercedes, it's midnight blue, 2003.

The other family car is an Escalade, black, 2003?

DD has a VW Passat, Hunter Green, it lives in Nantucket.

My dream car, changes every time my son is home, right now he sees me in a Masseratti, quatroport. He's on a car website that is simialr to PS. Bad, bad, bad....

But have to say, he scored in finding the old Mercedes for Hubby. He's a car freak.

White Toyota Camry - 1995 (still goin' strong!)

Dream car is the Honda FCX Clarity (hydrogen fuel cell car). They are going to start doing test leases in my area of SoCal this summer...I am on the waiting list, but the lease price is $600/month (ouch!) At least it includes insurance and fuel...

I got to see it in person at the LA auto show last year...

One more photo - I never thought I would *swoon* over a car (since, you know, I''m the kind of gal who lives in LA, makes good money, and still drives a ''95 camry), but this one is gorgeous, AND on the cutting edge of environmental technology...I am such a geek...

Honda-FCX-Clarity-3-lg.jpg

I love my car-it''s a peugeot 207cc. I wouldn''t swap it for anything.

DF,
So what do you drive, and what is your dream car??

I have a black BMW X5; I too enjoy the heated steering wheel!!!!!!!! My dream car...Bentley Continental GT

I drive a forest green Toyota Camry. It''s a great car, actually, and I plan to drive it into the ground. It''s actually a little beaten up on the outside because it has been the victim of FOUR hit and runs. (I park on the street about half the time (limited parking at my building) and it''s gotten hit there, probably by drunk drivers.)

I don''t really have a dream car, but my favorite car of all time is the Volvo 240. My first car was an ''84 240 and I loved it to death. I would actually love a red manual transmission Volvo 240 Turbo that runs well. Older cars just aren''t nearly as smooth as newer cars, so something tells me I wouldn''t really like it if I had it now, but in theory that''s what I would like!

In reality, I''ll probably get another Camry when the time comes...maybe a hybrid Camry. I''m not sure what color...I hate white cars a lot (sorry to anyone with a white car!) but I like most other colors. Silver''s probably my favorite car color, actually, so maybe I''d get that.

I drive a 2001 Ford Ranger. It''s been a great truck (the second of two). My current practical dream vehicles are: Volkswagon Passat, Buick Enclave or Lincoln MKX.
