I have no car!! And I''m quite content with the gas mileage.

But DH drives a gold Nissan Pathfinder he''s had since his college hockey days... not very environmentally friendly, but not worth trading in until we need something more than 2x/month. My last car was a BMW 3-series convertible in a pretty silvery-purple-blue color
30.gif
... soooo much fun, but not worth the $300/month parking fee when I rarely drive anywhere.

That WAS my dream car, but my next dream car would probably be a Lexus RX400h (hybrid).

HI:

Silver, blue and sand/beige. Two Japanese and one German. Lovin the idea of an Audi R8 (like that's gonna happen...), or an A8 or S6. My DH wants a new SUV next year....I "hear" BMW is coming out with something we might "want".....

Of course the Aston M is still my #1 dream car, followed by the Masseratti Q as Lisa pointed out....

cheers--Sharon

I drive a sand colored Infiniti FX35 w/ black leather. I love it.

I drive a 2005 Ford Five Hundred in "Dark Shadow Grey". My daddy put on a purple pinstripe just for me. I love the car. It''s massive but is a dream to drive. We''re in the process of putting on fog lights and daddy is making a custom grille for the front. I''m so spoiled!

My absolute dream car is a 1957 Ford Thunderbird in Dusty Rose. Wide Whitewalls. Hardtop convertible. Gagagagagagagagaga. Too bad I can''t convince daddy to get me one of those!
3.gif

My hubby drives a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria with 177K miles on it. Old police vehicle complete with the cage in the back and bars on the windows. He also has 2 1963 Ford Galaxies and a 1959 Rambler Ambassador.

Jess

I have a 2008 slate blue Infiniti G35X, which replaced a 2005 black Infiniti G35X. I loved my 2005 Infiniti, and when my hubby told me to pick out a new car, I got a newer version of the same car. It''s the perfect car for me, and it''s really fun to drive - and I don''t even like to drive!

I have a 2003 Toyota Highlander that hubby got for me. It''s silver and I absolutely love it. I call him MacLeod. It has just over 16000 miles on it.

Honda Accord EX and just because I miss my sports car, I got mine in a manual transmission. It still isn''t the same though. You can''t take a corner in a Honda like you can in a car with a sports package. Too much body roll. I suppose I could tolerate an automatic now...but not in a 4-cylinder. Blech...

This is my dream car...a four door, so when I finally get that grandchild, I won''t have to struggle to get the bundle out of the back seat.
10.gif

My car is a 2001 Honda Prelude in Electron Blue Pearl. It is my baby. I love my car, and if nothing else goes with me when we move out of state, my car goes. I'll give up my shoes for my car. And I've bought about 5 pairs of shoes to match my car (see avatar). Oh yeah, and I try to drive it as little as possible, so it only has 53k miles on it, for a 7 year old car in New *Urban Sprawl* Mexico, that's pretty impressive.

My dream cars are:
2001 Honda Prelude in Electron Blue Pearl
1997 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo in any color I can get it
2003 Nissan 350z in Daytona Blue

FF's car is a 2007 Volkwagen Rabbit that goes by the name of "Jessica" (Jessica Rabbit-get it?) I helped pick it out. It's silver and apparently he likes it.

Presenting... the smallest car y'all have probably ever seen!!! But FI's is even smaller - and he's well over 6ft!

I love my motor because she's all mine, every last penny of her paid for entirely by me. She's the most expensive thing I own and I'm super proud of myself for buying her all with my own hard-earned dough. She's a nippy little thing and hugs corners nicely (the model is a particular favourite with 'boy racers' over here for a reason
2.gif
). And she gets me 50mpg on average, 60mpg on the motorway!

The one cause for concern I have is that she's only a 2* on the EuroNCAP safety system.

What did I miss???
I go out of town for 2 weekends and miss this??
Shut the front door! I'm off to figure this out Miss Delster... Or should I say Mrs. Retsled!!!

ETA~ ok I drive a new Lexus IS, red. Believe itor not, the red is very over the top for me, seriously! But I figured it was my last chance at red so I should go for bc the Lexus IS red it TDF!
Right now we are working on the FI's dream car... Which he can't actually decide on but as soon as he does it will prob be his. Wither the Mercedes G Wagon or a Land Rover Defender.
For me though, it's an Aston Martin, and nothing else will do!... A girl can dream, right??

Here''s a pic.

I drive a 2003 Limited Edition Ford Escape (fully loaded, black leather interior etc etc). It''s dark metallic gray. I love the color and I love the car. I keep it in pristine condition so it''s like new still. My only complaint is that I wish it was a hybrid. I''m not a huge car person so I don''t think I have a ''dream car'' per se. My FI wants to buy a Mercedes next so I''ll keep driving an SUV probably. I love SUV''s!

I think the next car I''d love to own is an Acura MDX.

I drive a 2007 cashmere beige camry. Camrys are the best, this is my second one. My daughter drives my old 1998 white carmry.
No dream car ''cause I''m too busy dreaming about diamonds.

I drive a white 2001 BMW M3. I love it! Gets me where I need to go FAST!

1.gif

As far as dream cars go, these two are definitely up there at the top of the list.

porsche911.jpg

Ooh! Last October FI bought me my dream car and my very first new car. It''s a 2007 Volvo S-40. I lovelovelove it. The color is ''silver metallic'' I think. It''s a silvery grey.

I do have my old 1992 Volvo 240 (Thing2, they are the greatest!) that is gun metal grey. I love it but, sadly, I think we will have to sell it because it ends up sitting too long. I want it to go to a good home. Yes, I am a total dork and am attached to the car.

I still drive my good ''ol 1999 dark green metallic Mustang convertible with a saddle colored top. It has a silver pinstripe, but that''s about as exciting as it gets! I bought it at less than a year old and there were some mars in the paint to begin with, then it got keyed along with about 22 other cars in the lot when I lived in an apt. complex, so I hate that part of it! I don''t drive too much and I think I just finally hit 90K, but it had almost 20K on it when I purchased it, so my average has helped to keep that reasonable, I think.

Not really a dream car, but I would love to be sitting a bit higher up, so I would love to get a new Toyota Highlander Hybrid if that''s the *best* I could do, but I would love another Acura, maybe an MDX or another Honda as I''ve had both and loved them. I''m not a Ford lover, but I''d ordered an Escape when they were first coming out and had to buy a car long before it came in. I had been driving Rusty''s convertible Mustang for a few months and decided that the wind blowing my hair into knots wasn''t such a bad thing!
31.gif

If I don''t get a small SUV, I would at least like a vehicle with a CD changer and a nav system, and I hope that one day FI will actually get a vehicle with power windows AND door locks! My arm is going to give out always cranking the dang window or reaching over to unlock his door!

all silver cars......they don't need a bath as often

Delster I don''t think my car would even be safe enough for a rating

I have a 92 Blue Hyundai Excel she is old, battered, rattles, smokes, eats oil and her suspension is stoofed but I love her and she is mine and the thought of giving her up makes me teary. BF is talking about the fact that we need to look for another car for me soon as she is starting to get to a point where she is not really all that safe yet she still goes and is actually really reliable :).

I have been warming up to the possibility of a new car and if I did get a new one I wouldn''t mind a little Mini (would have to be red with a union jack on the roof) or a Suzuki Swift or even a Civic. I don''t really have a dream car as such but whatever my next car will be it has to be little I hate big cars.

THIS is my dream car ( if I could ever get in it!)

We have a black 2007 Lexus LX470. Technically, it''s Nate''s car because he bought it, but since he takes the train, I use it. I used to have a Lexus GX470 and since it didn''t have what I felt was enough space, my uncle bought it from me for his son that turned 16.

I like the LX, there is nothing that I can complain about. It''s something that we have to have because Nate is tall and it''s basically our family car.

beau13, I have to tell you that the GX does not truly seat 8. The 3rd row is not a true 3rd row. The GX is a fine SUV, but when I had my GX, the 3rd row seats were in the garage covered with plastic. The 3rd row is basically big enough for two small kids.

We''re going to order a Mercedes GL550 in Red.

Nate also wants a convertible of some kind, but it''s not going to happen . . .

My hubby drives a 2004 Vauxhall Astra and I have one exactly the same - even the same colour but its a bit older. I have alloys though - he doesn't!

My dream car is either a Mercedes C Class or an Audi TT

We're in the same boat deelight. BF hates my car. His is smaller but it's a EuroNCAP 3* and he wants me to take it next year because I'll be doing more mileage than him. If he could he'd have mine dropped off of a cliff, he worries that much about it. But I have such a strong sentimental attachment to the car, and I don't like driving his (for a number of reasons, actually all of them being his reasons for loving the thing!). Anyway I don't see the point in replacing a car that works perfectly fine, I don't need that expense.

But if someone presented me with a 2001 Mini, the special anniversary edition with John Cooper's name engraved on the engine, the one with a CD player and airbags and leather seats and air con and oh so much more... well I wouldn't say no!
9.gif

I am considering a diesel MINI One in another two or three years. It just feels a bit big for me right now. And no, that's not a joke. And of course there's the issue of the car payment, and the cost of running it what with the way diesel's going.

I was actually scared to look at that but yeah I agree definitely not the car to have an accident in, thankfully *touch wood* it has never happened actually it may sound weird but I feel fairly safe in my car even though I know she isn''t I think it has to do with the strong attachment she is like an extension of me when I am on the road, BF''s car which is much safer and bigger and all the lot feels very alien.

I agree with you Delster I see no point spending money on another car (I have the oldest and crappiest car of all my friends by a long shot) when mine still works I have many friends who get themselves into debt (cars are fairly expensive here) to get flasher then they need cars and then struggle to pay them off along with other bills it boggles the mind.

Mini''s are awesome if I got one I would get a turbo one hehehehehe :D pity they are so darn expensive here
