On another note, what do people do at the dentist when they are getting their teeth cleaned? Eyes open or closed?

Gah! This is what I'm talking about! Any service where you are in a chair with someone over you...opened or closed???
I always feel like the awkward creeper with open eyes, or the person falling asleep with them closed.
Dentist, I'm usually closed. Staring at the bright light is not comfortable.
