Hello!

I''m a long time lurker, and a recent joiner. I''ve been reading pricescope forums for about a year now, especially the ladies in waiting board. I thought I would join when I had even an incling that a proposal was on the horizon, but my man surprised me, and proposed this christmas.

Since this is a completely new and exciting time, I''ve already gone and tried on wedding dresses. Whoops, I fell in love. Our wedding isn''t until April 18, 2009. When is it too early to buy a dress? The dress in question ( i will attempt to attach a picture.. ) is a fall 2006 dress, and they will not be ordering more. basically, its this sample dress for sale..

let me know your thoughts, thanks so much!

Oh, and here''s a picture of the back. The price of the dress is very reasonable.. I think that''s why its so tempting. Of course, once I buy one, though, I have to stop looking. I just can''t stop thinking about this dress!

very pretty!! my sister bought her dress more tghan a year out too and about six months after her purchase, she thought she wanted to change her mind. She tried on her dress again and still loved it. I say if you know you love it, get it. And if you fall out of love with it, the worst that could happen is you have to sell it on ebay or to a bridal boutique and you might loose money. But, that is the worst case scenario. If you don''t get it, you will compare every dress to it and nothing will ever live up to it! GOOD LUCK!

It''s a fairly classic dress, so I''m not worried about it going out of style or looking silly 18 months from now. You should just ask yourself how you''ll feel if you stop loving it. Will that be a huge problem, money-wise?

If you do get it, STOP TRYING ON DRESSES!

Just put it away, check off ''dress'' on your list, and move forward with your planning. Then put it on again 9 months or so our just to make sure you still feel good in it.

One question: have you picked a venue yet? If not, then I''d say hold off on getting the dress. That seems to be a big cause of 2 dress bridehood.

Welcome, by the way!

Thanks! I do love the dress.. and the kicker? its 300 bucks. im'' hoping to lose a little bit of weight.

being I''ve only been engaged a month, I''m not sure If I''m ready to give up the "bridal trying on of dresses" just yet.

My family thinks I''m being a little crazy. I''m almost certain this is my dress, though. I''m halfway tempted to purchase it, and keep it ''my little secret'' for a few months. I don''t want this dress to be gone, and mourn its loss!

I think that if you love it, and it feels like "the one", you should go for it! For $300, I don''t think you have anything to lose. The dress looks amazing on you!

Good luck and let us know what you decide!

I think that if you know it is the one, then I''d get it,especially at that price-what a bargain! I don''t think that it''s too early. I''m getting married in June 09 and will probably start looking at dresses in June 08, just to give myself plenty of time. It looks great on you by the way!

Many women don''t get their dress that early, it''s true. But - if you''re sure you love it and it''s THE perfect dress for you that you won''t find later, then get it! But then STOP LOOKING at dresses afterward, so you don''t end up wanting a different dress!!

The dress looks great on you. You love the dress and it is only $300! Get it. You mentioned that you plan to lose weight. If that is the case, find out how long it will take to alter and don''t alter the dress until closer to the wedding date. Now if you find that the dress will not work with your venue, you could sell it on eBay. How much was msrp on the dress?
