We''re working with a travel agent to book our honeymoon to the Azores. We could book now or wait and I''m not sure what to do (our travel agent is hoping prices will go down or the dollar will be better soon). Our wedding is next July 12th. What would you do?

How far in advance did you or will you book your honeymoon?

Our travel agent won''t let us book until it was 6 months before the trip. Have you checked out expedia? You can find some good deals on those types of websites. . . just a thought.

Since you already found the agent and seem to have everything set for the trip other than actually officially booking it, I think you should be okay waiting a couple months to see if prices go down...that is, if your agent is pretty sure they aren''t going to go up! We''re working on our honeymoon right now, and we''ve given ourselves 3 more months to actually decide for sure where we want to go and get it booked.

I think we did it 3 months before.

I personally like the second one, but the first one was very not me.
I think when you book is very important. My FI and I are looking at St. Lucia during hurricane season so they will be slow and we can book later.
Once we wnet to Rome and didn''t book WAY in advance and there was a catholic holiday even I hadn''t heard of (my uncle is a jesuit, so I thought I was pretty up on it), so we ended up in these cabin things in the middle of nowhere.
You are looking at Europe and I think your travel agent is wrong. I doubt the Euro to dollar ratio is going to get much worse between now and then, but I REALLY doubt it is going to get any better.
