Where to buy baby bezels

I have been looking through all the posts regarding baby bezel studs. I have checked out BGD ($575) and WF ($825). Those prices seem very high especially WF..ouch. Has anyone recently purchased a similar setting from another vendor? I want to use them for my second hole and pretty much leave them there. The specs are 14k wg, .25ctw, excellent cut, g/h color and si clarity. Someone posted a few years ago that they purchased from ERD but they did not post a pic of the setting. I want the earrings to sit flush on the ear.

Have you contacted id jewelry? I talked to them about doing some dbty bezel style earrings and prices were reasonable. Just ask for "Pricescope" quality diamonds.

I haven't had them made yet as I've decided to change my concept a little. I'd need to look for my notes, but I was looking at having 5 10pt diamonds in 14 kt gold on each earring and it was around 1200 or 1300 as I remember, but that's a lot more diamonds than you're talking about bezeling!!

I had Daniel M on Etsy make a pair of sapphire baby bezels (14k rg) and they turned out really beautifully - the metalwork is very clean, and they made the bezels themselves in exactly the open, rounded style I wanted. The settings were very cost-effective too - I'm really happy them!

Yssie - pretty earrings! I'd also like to know more about the stones. I have a pair of rhodolite studs I wear all the time and would love to get more colored stud earrings. They come in handy to match with different outfits. I'm tempted by the bezels you've posted to order a pair in different color! (do you have a thread anywhere on these w/ear shots?)

I just heard back from IDJ. Their studs with .30tcw are $725, I'm shocked that's $150 more than BGD. Granted, the tcw is a smidge more but I thought they would be more competitive. I'm waiting for some more info from DanielM. The settings are $350 but I need them to source the stones.

Nonie - I asked DM to copy the style of my Tiffany baby bezels and as I said earlier I'm very happy with the workmanship. I don't think you could go wrong with smaller stones - in fact I actually prefer it, and the fact that they're cheaper is just an incidental advantage. stargurl - DM sourced the sapphires. I originally wanted very pale pinks but they suggested a stronger colour that wouldn't get lost in the rose gold, especially since the stones are so small, and I think they were right.

MC - I can't tell you much I'm afraid, other than that they're 3.5mm each and really sparkly! They're a gift for SIL so no earshots (not yet anyway).

tuffy - I want a pair in every colour. Yellow sapphires, a pink pair just like these, something green...

wow- I'm surprised,too!! That does seem really high compared to the quote I got. Are they plain bezels or milgrain?

Pink..I just asked for plain thin bezels, nothing fancy. I need to ask BGD the cost for .30tcw so I can get a true comp. The problem is with BGD I have a hard time getting info. I have been waiting 2 weeks for a quote on a tennis bracelet. I've sent emails asking for it but no response. Lesley contacted me after a second unanswered email but now it's been a couple weeks. I guess if you are a regular customer you get faster responses.
